It’s interesting what a difference a two and a half hour drive makes. Take a look at the Calgary threads on the other board and see the number of threads dedicated to reviewing the services of the ladies working in the micros. They treat the SPs in micros like any other SP with no cattiness from other SPs.
In Edmonton as soon as a micro is mentioned the SPs go off on a tangent comparing the ladies who work in the micros to SWs on 118 Ave and suggesting that the ladies in micros expose you to health risks higher than you would be exposed to by visiting a MP. The fact is that these ladies must have health tests before they are allowed to enter Canada. One SP even made a comment to the effect that if you want quality pay the $240 based on the great reviews. They don't seem to understand that every market has it’s niche.
From my observations these ladies come and go as they wish, and are certainly not victims of human trafficking. If you want to discuss human trafficking look no further than the person who serves you coffee and who has had to pay the thousands of dollars and outrageous rent to a recruiter who brings them here to work for $10.00 an hour.

If it wasn’t great, my level of frustration is proportionately less when I leave having paid half the price that I would have been charged at an MP for similar service. There is lots of room in the city and micros provide an excellent balance.
So Moi, if you are truly concerned with human trafficking ask the person who serves you coffee how much they paid to work in Canada and then boycott the business holds them ransom in Canada until their debt in their home country is paid off. By using recruiters those employers are able to pretend they don't know.

Also, I know about the other people forced into labour etc. which is why I do talk to alot of them and if the opportunity is there, i encourage them to find other venues for education etc.
Many new immigrates do have an education and work menial jobs til they can complete the upgrading to continue their practice in Canada.
One of my previous drivers was a doctor where he was from. Unfortunately for him, the Canadian medical standards are alot higher than where he is from, so he drove part time while doing a few more years schooling to practice here. That also explains the "health" standard overseas as compared to here which further strengthens Lenord's POV.
