Briefs or boxers, this is the question.
I am what many call a creature of habit. When I find something I like I stick with it because often when I "change it up" I am disappointed and end up back to my previous choice.
I clearing out my sock drawer, every year or so I throw all my socks away, (or as soon as more than one pair start to drift down because of elastic failure and bunch up under my heels, there is nothing more annoying than that) and buy my 20-30 replacement pairs that set me up for the next year or so. At this point I thought it was about time to do the same with my briefs. Looking for my normal brand and model I noticed that many places don't carry the briefs and have an abundance of boxers instead. Got me thinking am I old school or out of fad wanting to stick to my briefs, formally known as "tighty whities' lol although I have upgraded to coloured briefs.
Brings me to my poll. Which do your prefer, briefs or boxers. Multiple answer to the second question is life span. And I guess life span with be directly correlated with quantity on hand. The more pairs you have the less you would wear each in any given time period.
Logically thinking if one person had 10 pair of underwear and another had 20 pair the person with 20 would replace them half as often since they would only have half the wear/wash cycles. So lets base the replacement on average personal having lets say 10 pair. You can do your own calculations from there. I myself have 20 pair so will answer with half the expected lifespan since based on 10 pair.
