"What I see is, basically, the internet taking over phone networks and TV and movies and music, all forms of media," he said....
About the only part of that entire ramble that's worth any sort of reply. I don't think it will be long before we all wonder why the hell we had a separate line for our computer, another for our phone, and yet another for our tv. Say goodbye to Blockbuster. At least Rogers saw that their future in video rentals was bleak and had the foresight to get on the internet bandwagon. Pretty soon, any form of media company, be it phone, tv, music, movies, or whatever, could be a small airconditioned room full of servers in your basement. Imagine making the Fortune 500 that way. It's fucking mindblowing how the internet has totally changed the way we have to interact with the world around us. I know this is off-topic, but, um, he started it.
