US$1.28 per piece is a high, but there are a number of all-you-can-eat sushi places right here in Vancouver that have similar policies. Mind you, their price may not be quite as high. One I know charges $0.50 per piece not eaten.

I had sushi the other day and they had the 50cent fine for uneaten food in thier menu and Sushi Ya in Coquitlam. That didnt bother me but the lack of all you can eat sashimi pissed me right off!
