Since i'm single now I was wondering what would be the best place to meet women in Vancouver? I know the clubs and some bars but name them and your success stories. My friend keeps telling me the mall specifically Metrotown but the girls seem a little young there even though they don't look it.

There are two fashion shows tomorrow evening ( Tuesday ), one at the Opus Hotel and the other one at the Westin Bayshore. The one at the Bayshore is way bigger. Try going. :) :)

metrotown is full of teeny boppers. ironically, microtown is the opposite. lol.

the bar/club scene never really worked for me. i usually just ended up dropping copious amounts of cash (pre-pooning days).

met my current gf at a boston pizza while out with the boys. she was actually our server that nite. she had a great personality and most importantly.... made me laugh. guess it doesn't hurt she's not hard to look at. not a supermodel or anything like that but really cute. as tallahassee would say, "time to nut up, or shut up." i was nervous as hell, but i made the move to ask to her coffee and it went from there.

i honestly dunno if there's "a place" in vancity to meet women. but if u want cougars, definitely go to the sandbar on granville island on sat nites. milfs galore!!

Safeway. Go to the snaking foods section, or the baking supplies. That's where the go-ers hang out. They are too stuck up over in Produce. Don't forget to make wry smiles and witty comments at the check-out. And if they have an in-store Starbucks, you are golden my friend.

The public library is fucking solid gold - central branch, that is. There are a million nooks and crannies set up with comfy chairs facing each other, cozy enough to develop some tension to break, while open enough for girls to feel safe talking to you. Tons of lonely students from around Canada and the world, and cafes downstairs for a smooth transition. Pick a book you like and girls just start appearing around you, sitting down, reading, and sighing. I love the library - It's like the architect designed it for meeting pretty young girls.

Helps if you're a reader, of course... I always go there with my to-read-list and spend an hour or two just checking out random books of interest, especially reference books (you can never borrow the best books!), because I love doing that, and so getting a number or a coffee date is a nice little bonus :)

Simple go to Starbucks, and order the most complicated coffee you can.
Make it such a long order the barista has to write it down.
Then keep shaking your head like you are dealing with an idiot.
The girls in line will be in awe

Whole Foods, Thrifty's, Chapter's, Golf driving ranges, cook ware stores (I like to cook and I guess some women like that in a man.) and it doesn't hurt to own a dog. ;)

Actually, that happened last weekend at a Starbucks near my area. I forgot what I added to my vente but it was breakfast, and added a few of their homemade strudels to purchase. A really ONE hot blonde lady (guessing she works at the mall) in her early 30's was next to me but, I had some place important to be within the 20 mins. Maybe next time, and perhaps when I am more awake and aware...

Oh ya I was not shaking my head at the service cleark like I am dealing with an idiot. I was trying to keep my mood in a positive vibe even though it was first thing in the morning.

I've been having an awesome streak lately in Yaletown (touch wood). I'm 3 for 3. I scored last Friday, Saturday and last night. Saturday being two chicks I brought home for drinks and we ended up playing together.

I usually do Glowbal, George, Goldfish, Opus and often Republic and Barcelona on Granville.

Winners in Park Royal followed by Urban Fare in Yaletown and Salvatore Ferragamo on Robson.
BTW, many Asian women enjoy shopping in S. Ferragamo's Robson Street Store.

Good luck and enjoy this journey.
