I must agree wholeheartedly with my colleague Ron on this one ... BDSM is certainly not for me. I like to have my hands readily available. Moreover, and at the risk of offending anyone and appearing to be judgemental and narrow-minded, I can't understand why anyone would find it sexually stimulating to be humiliated or subjugated. And if you disagree with me, I'll tie you down, spank you, flog you and then candle you.

I don't get it either. I suppose that, if it's totally consensual, BDSM is a harmless diversion, but I have no desire to humiliate or be humiliated.

well gentlemen, i have to agree with you all...i find the concept of BDSM interesting for those who want that kind of service however, i am not one to be a participant...i have gone to several black and blue balls over the years and found the flogging, spanking, etc to be somewhat clinical...what i personally don't get is the lack of sexual satisfaction at the end of it all...but hey, that's why they make chocolate, strawberry and vanilla - different strokes so to speak...

my reason for asking about this is due to my colleague's overwhelming clientelle - i really wondered just how many men - and women for that matter, are fans of this particular fetish - sort of a bit of feasibility study on my part...although i could never see myself being so dominant as to be able to satisfy a submissive's needs, there are several women i know who love this type of session...

What's the point of trying to defend something? Pointless. As soon as you attempt to do so...you have lost ground. If you "like it"...then...you like it. If "you don't"...then you don't.

It's hardly another's responsibility to explain why or attempt to convince in said direction. I love that this world is able to make it's mind up based on information provided....and enjoy whatever it is they enjoy.

Some will argue that the "information" provided is suspect at best...and they are welcome to their conspiracy theories. I love that the internet has affected mainstream broadcasting to ensure they tell the truth as best they know it. Perhaps I'm wrong, shoot me.

you have as blaze said made some excellent points...i will put this in the BDSM forum as well...i find it best never to judge anyone's preferences...in fact, i love to try things 3 times...if i don't like it the first time, i'll try again just incase it was an isolated incident...if i don't like it the second time, i'll try it one more time just to make sure!
