The complacent attitude by BCCDC regarding emerging
issues is quite dangerous.

In my opinion they can do only very basic work,
hiding behind standard info and a urologist who
is not of much use either.

They should try and treat the cause instead. They
come across as annoying after a while.

If you really want change, how is posting this on a pooner board going to bring it? Are you hoping that the president of the BCCDC visits this board and stumbles onto your post? Get real, buddy.

Go talk to the BCCDC directly, go talk to city hall, go talk to the health officer of BC, go assemble and protest. Right now, you're just an anonymous dude behind a computer trying to kick up dust on a forum that serves a very niche demographic. Hardly a good place to start your crusade against the BCCDC.

Well...

All good points and well taken...

My only concern is Public health and the
sooner the "so called" health care
people with impressive names start
living up to their real roles of being
at the forefront and taking real action
it will help us all.

Maybe it would help if the head of
the BCCDC was a pooner himself
then he would know first hand instead
of sitting in an ivory tower - certainly
BCCDC is housed in a beautiful
building for sure.

The people inside is another story -
nothing personal but the concern
is just not there.

BC has been in the forefront in lots
of fields and could lead the world
but the concern and management has
to be there...

Hi Qwertyx

Thanks for posting your concerns.

We at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) are always looking for feedback on our services. You are always free to talk with the manager in the STI clinic or you could always send me your ideas/concerns and I can pass them on. I could do this anonymously so they would never know where the comment came from.

We respect these ideas and comments as they help us with our program planning. Our internet program was started by clients saying to us that we should be online because that is were everyone is and we started going to massage parlours because one of our clients suggested that we should come out and see the ladies.

The BCCDC are open to your comments. It really helps us if you are specific about the issue. Let me know if I can help.
