BC is governed by educated people who base policy on evidence and facts.

Alberta is governed by backwater bumpkins and a Premier with a high school education who was booted out of a San Francisco Catholic college because he was too extreme on abortion.

We'll revisit in a two years and see which province is doing better.

My money is on BC.

We have the same problem here from a dictatorship of Nanaimo for ALR rural farm.. when my taxes jump 50% , farm food production went down. NO way can I spend coin on a maybe money maker. So since we smaller farms of less than a cut size , we don't get any tax breaks . Egg producers in Vancouver that put out over a Bill/year of eggs get the stamp . Were saddled with squat .. So no more duck eggs etc. and if the eggs are sold large brown in 12 of free run ( run where ??) of 4.50-4.99 then the stamp seller is making money cuz his cost is 3.90-4.20 /12 , ours in free range / grass /grain NO GMO corn with growers protean added (see the size of folks now ) cost 5.20-6.00/12 .. It's the cost of food and water , and my 50 cents per week..

This is NOT going to end well .. Village weed pickers make 28.50 per hr after a year with full benny's . Trade folk don't do that well after schooling ..

We have many local farms up for sale , short minded stupid Socialist twat's don't see that killing small local farms and then rezoning for house developments , using more water (when restrictions are huge now) and plowing AGG under pavement for tax $$$ coming in .. Total IDIOTS !!

Small farm just sold 100 A / 2.2 Mil , set for 80 homes at tax per home 1800.00 over what was 3400.00 in ALR , grew grains / pork/bird/beef/ grass/hay ..
Island has 3 days max of food if a shaker / what ever hits us ..

They are increasing our taxes again BY !! (get this) add in paper saying new fire hall expansion , if you don't want it , mail /e-mail in NO .
9 came in ,out of 5800 , so now dictators are borrowing money to build this extension . 400/ year on my taxes in 2020 plus the 380 we pay already.

for 25 years !! NO details posted till I went down and found the info , and that was pulling underwear !!!

I know how you feel.Seems every year my taxes go up and I now get less services and services I dont want.My garbage collection is now every two weeks and I have had composting forced upon me.I dont actually compost but I pay for it.


All thanks to tax and spend MORE Socialists at City Hall.

Just gonna add that a 50 year old single man who lives in his mother's basement, who has never held a real job, has been collecting 6 figure gubermint cheques since his early '20s and now gets a Premier's cheque along with his federal pension cheque . . .

. . . probably doesn't have a fucking clue what austerity even is.
