Are things slow for SP's lately?

Just wondering if things are a little slow lately?
In the past 3 weeks I've had 2 unsolicited calls from 2 different SP's asking me if I wanted to get together?
One of them I haven't seen for almost 2 years, not sure why or how she still had my #. The other is actually a very well reviewed lady I see every couple of months.
First off, this is very uncool. I'm single with no SO but my assistant sometimes answers my phone if I'm at the office.
Secondly, things must be slow for them to be doing "cold calls" like some vinyl siding salesman (with apologies to all you vinyl siding salesmen )

I have also had that happen in the past couple of weeks. Also I had received a couple of text, saying discounted prices if you see me tonight. I agree this is not cool, and not very professional.

It hides in my office desk until I want to use it. I know a lot of SP's say "phone me from an unblocked number" so they can have your phone number for safety reasons, but the phone I use is untraceable.

I don't mind getting an email as long as it is a blind CC I get pretty upset when I can see all the other "Johns" email addresses.

Note to the ladies. Figure out how to BLIND CC.

I have had a few conversations with ladies lately that with the slumping economy and season things have slowed down to the point of some of the girls getting downright panicked, and not being able to afford afford their incall location, lat alone their frequent spa and shopping sprees. There has definitely been some slowdown, and because of that the girls I have talked to have wondered if they will make it through the holidays. I certainly do hope they can weather the slump as there are some lovely ladies I would really miss if they retired.

I have certainly slowed down my participation. It's not that my finances have changed, but it seemed for that supply/demand got out of balance. High rates being charged for poor service isn't sustainable in the long run. No question with the Jets and and the Bombers both selling out, concerts etc combined with an economic slow down affect all leisure activitiies. The key as it is in any business is to work hard to retain quality/regular's. The ones who help crack the monthly expenses nut and ride it out. There may be a benefit in reducing pricing but quality providers may not have to do that and it might now make a significant difference. This may weed out the poor providers and that is probably a good thing, though there may also be some collateral damage and some quality providers might move on. Seems to be the nature of the beast, providers and customers come and go regularly.

Sounds like supply is outweighing demand. As mentioned before, poor service accompanied by rates that are too high is a bad combination. I don't consider myself an expert but........ it doesn't take one to figure out that lowering rates and improving service may help. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that all the ladies need to improve their service but, it seems that the poor service providers outnumber the good ones right now.

As for the ladies who provide great service, keep it up. I'm sure you'll do fine as it's only a matter of time before people get fed up with poor service and high rates. I will pay for quality but, hate overpaying

They aren't slow for me, pretty average.... sometimes it is busier. So, the answer is "No."

Glad to hear things are going well for you but like SexyBoy said, you're a quality SP with reasonable rates.

The rates have defiantly gone way down. For some girls even really good ones.

I am averaging around $120 per hour for mp girl fs. You have to add the room rental fee on top of that. However if Nevada's gets and keeps good girls you can buy a unlimited monthly package for $90 a month.

$150-200 max per hour for outcall.

$80 for a girl I have seen for years outcall.

Basically things are back to normal.

However the girls charging the low prices are being booked up. Sometimes the whole day they are booked.

The economics of pooning is weird.

In Bangkok, during recessions, prices go down cuz the girls reckon they are competing with each other. In Rio, they go up cuz the girls reckon they have to make up for lost income!

In a Toronto Star story rates went down a lot in 2008 with the onset of the financial crisis. But they are back up.

Minneapolis appears down with the financial turmoil there.

IMHO, in recent years Winnipeg rates have risen relative to many other places in the country. Using Milton Friedman's theory of demand-pull inflation and money supply, there is too much money chasing too little tail in Winnipeg. Likely because the NDP govt is spending like crazy, forcing money into the economy. With all the generous healthcare settlements lately there will be a lot more pooning healthcare workers out there for a few years more (dam those horny doctors!), keeping demand (and prices) up.

Other negatives are the restrictive attitude of city council towards MPs (compared to greater Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton or the suburbs of Toronto) and the shortage of single women immigrating into Winnipeg (compared to the these three).

Strangely, I find rates are lower in Victoria than Winnipeg yet it is in some ways similar to here (backwater provincial capital with less foreign immigration than Calgary, Vancouver or Toronto and a very restrictive attitude towards MPs by city council). But there are a lot of college girls from outside BC, with tuition fees to pay, whereas most college girls here are local and do not want to risk publicity. The few college girls I have done here seem mostly from outside Winnipeg, and often outside Manitoba.
