Was out New Years Eve, peddling my ass round town. Took in Granville of course.
Earlier on Kingsway saw 1. This was 11ish so early. A few of the ladies that worked Cordova are now housed in the Biltmore and you may see them from time to time.
Saw a few over the course of a couple hrs long Hastings n Cordova. Ran into Tia but she gave me the old met me by the church in 20.
No show lol. Some things never change . Met a lady on Campbell but too many restrictions.
2nd yr in a row I didn't get my new yrs eve BJ.

There was a great thread a couple years back that got shutdown cause people are dumb.....but

Most of the old haunts are very lightly populated.......king George area you might see the odd one in whalley. Almost none on KGH itself anymore.

Through new west is nothing......Kingsway from Burnaby through to main has some but nothing like the smorgasbord it once was. Low track still exists as mentioned above .....but the diamonds in that rough are very few and far between anymore.

Long story short I used to love cruising all the tracks. Now it's one lap if I'm in the area......cost of gas and the fact you usually come up empty means it's not worth it in my book.

Keep an eye on locanto for some cheaper options who would have previously been on the strolls. And I would never bring anyone to my place.....and at that level I wouldn't go to their place either.
Almost always it's car or outdoor engagement.

Every now and then you get lucky.....but I'd say it's maybe 2 or 3 times a year

Just a sampling of one guy traveling along Kingsway from Boundary to Main and back pretty regularly, early to later evening but the last period of time I saw S Walkers was pre covid. Last night ~1100pm pretty sure I saw the guy behind me pull over around the KFC to 'chat' with a gal in the shadows. And that is pretty much it for a couple months. All in perspective, I wasn't trolling but just observing.

Last night about 9pm heading east pretty sure there was a dark haired gal working just before Knight and there were 2 gals near the Dairy Queen, not together but one of them had on a micro micro skirt with legs up to here that made my head snap around. Been a long time since I imbibed from the street but ... one never knows. And not that I drive that Cordova/E Hastings area but it has been an even longer time since I have frequented those streets. Ah, the thrill of the hunt!

To answer OP I can say Yes it exists but the girls are mostly just doing it for means of survival so treat with respect. Now for the good stuff there's one that's usually by the paint shop as your going eastbound on kw near victoria drive. Tatiana her name. Excellent DT and little older but makes up for it in many ways. I've done alot of cruising of late and seen alot of activity along kw knight, Victoria, Windsor, main as you approach union Street and you will find sporadically in the side streets Keefer, Pender, Georgia as you enter Chinatown. Be sure to take a drive down Pender past all those latenight clubs/bars you can see talent. And last but not least that park near Hastings an Jackson and Dunleavy. Even sometimes get out to smoke one and
Just walk around the neighborhood to get a feel of what the streets are saying. Does anyone know if the girls hanging out with the group of aboriginals in front of the corner of Dunleavy and Cordova area. Do you know if they work? They almost seem like they do but approaching while they are crowded in with what seems like just plain homeless is awkward.

Compared to major cities the girls on the DTES are terrible. Leggings and jackets...those girls are not in it to make cash they are in it to support their drug use.

I hope this has been mentioned before in this thread but I will reiterate. Please be kind, respectful, and keep positive minded when dealing with providers of all backgrounds and class levels. It doesn't matter whether you pick someone up from the street or meet them in a Gastown loft, these ladies are doing us a great service by their work and we ought to remember we are not buying their consent but compensating them for their time they choose to share with us.
