are only something I ask for on occasion when Im making a special trip just to see one person... that includeds a plane to get to him.. I ask for half the donation before I get there.. but in these cases the tickets are already bought and what not.. and I would never stand them up after spending so much $$ to get me out to them... but this is more for a sugar babe relationship.... I have never asked for donations on tour.. or felt the need to as things come up and people cancel.. just as we cancel from time to time.. I have yet to feel the need to ask for a donation

In that type of a situation a deposit is not only justified but probably a necessity. Once you are spending your money to see a single client you do deserve to have that risk minimized. I doubt you would make such a trip for just anyone on a whim.

That is one of the few scenarios I would be comfortable with paying a deposit. Like you said we all have to cancel from time to time, why add the problems of having to return or refund deposits.

When it comes down to taking appointments on a regular basis or a tour that you have advertised here or on EC etc. why should a deposit be needed, expenses are all part of doing business. I would have to say most of the guys on PERB have been stood up as many times as they have stood up a SP.

Now I realise that the SP's deal with a lot of jerks, and the ladies that are professionals, and run their businesses like a business are left with no shows much more often than they stand us up. All the more reason to support them than some fly by night scam artist like Tanya/Taryn/Izzy/Kenn and the like.

Think with the big head once in a while, DON'T ever pay a deposit for a regular session. Stick to the SP's that have good reputions and you'll only get screwed in a good way.
