Ufc 79 is 10 days away and it's going to be a good one.

My predictions

Gsp will beat Matt hughtes. Gsp is just too damn well rounded hughes is in big trouble.

Wanderlei silva will beat chuck. Chuck looks very old slow and sloppy.
wanderlei is a beast he will ko him in the 2nd.

well i'll probably be ordering it from shaw but i'm pretty sure every local bar will be playing it. Here in calgary bars get have the greatest turnouts during ufc events.

Too many washed up fighters on this card

Winner of GSP and Hughes will fight Serra next. GSP will regain his title

As for Iceman vs. Silva, both over the hill but I will give it to Iceman cause most Pride fighters don't do well in the octagon.

Any good under card fights?

I watched almost pride/UFC/K-1 from the past few years in that time I can say that all fighting is getting kind of stale(the UFC in particular, by far). PBF vs ricky hatton was the last memorable fight of this year. Still, I hope wand kills chuck. That's the only fight that interests me, and it is 1-2 years late.

I think it's great that we are seeing these Pride fighters competing in the UFC.
I agree it has been getting a little stale.

I like K-1 for the Heavyweight action and would like to see them compete in the UFC heavyweight division as there is a serious lack of competition in that category..

I am as well disappointed that Serra had to drop out as It would of been great to see him and Hughes go at it. GSP and Hughes are like Ortiz / Shamrock..:)

yaa semmy schilt is real beast in K-1 he looks to be unstoppable. Jerome Lebanner said he's a great wall of flesh impossible to figure out. Anyways for this card i'm most interested in the chuck vs wanderlei fight. Both guys have been going at eachother for years now making it a great rivalry. I think wanderlei wants it more that is why he moved to vegas and is training with Randy Couture and Shawn Tompkins and he constantly trying to improve his game. He'll be ready and I expect him to get the ko. Chuck on the other hand is 38 yrs old and he'll come out like he always does with no new skills because its hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

id like GSP to win, but really it doesnt matter as long as someone gets hurt.. liddell lost to keith jardine last time, even if he wins this fight hes on the fast track to retirement
