Just curious...Three different vice stings in Edmonton saw dozens of people charged with several prostitution-related offences. Eighteen men were charged for communicating for the purpose of prostitution. All of them could go to John School -- which means they can pay $500 to attend the program and avoid a criminal charge.
In a separate sting, 36 women were charged with communication for the purpose of prostitution. One arrest lead to two female police officers being assaulted by a woman. Both female officers went to hospital, but weren't seriously injured.
The third sting involved seven individuals and their escort agencies being charged, resulting in more than $40,000 in fines for not having a license.
