I thought this video was a quite interesting take on fundamentalist Christians views on religion. Especially the last half. Sums it up pretty well.

The problem is that adherents of fundamentalism are immune to logic or facts as they apply to their beliefs. Contradictions are simply not relevant...it is just the devil trying to confuse them.

This is not 100% true of course. Adherents of every cult have, of course, been swayed from their beliefs and become reasonable humans given the time to digest the contradictions and reach a conclusion, but never hope to win an argument with one.

The problem with this video is that the voice-over unsurprisingly lumps all of Christianity into one collective. You gotta love youtube. It'd be like me using Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler, the triangle slave trade as proof that science is wrong and immoral and therefore should be stopped.

With that said, the problem with fundamental christians is that they seem to have the loudest voice in the media for some reason. Probably because they have the most insane bat shit opinions about life. In many ways, fundamentalism should not even be considered Christianity. But that's another conversation for another day. Many followers blindly accept this as the true religion that has been around forever, when in reality, it's about 125 years old.

But yeah, these guys in this video put the 'mental' in Fundamentalist and the the British voice-over guy is a misleading piece of shit.
I don't see this at all; the video is clearly directed at fundamentalists. And you can't ignore that their "loud voices" have a very important political clout -- and that requires constant pointing out of the ridiculousness of their ideas. It also applies to anybody that points to scripture to defend their views about anything. Some members of my own family are in this category.
