American Horror Story On FX

I am following it and am still a bit undecided, I like the show, but am not quite fully sold yet. FX has had great success with Son's of Anarchy and Justified, both of which I am a huge fan.
I am still trying to figure out Tate's connection to Constance and the house, only thing I am leary of is Ben's ability to act like nothing happened at the end of the last episode, especially with all the shit that is going on, other than that good so far.
It definately has potential as long as the writing can stay consistant and am curious how they intend to keep it going as a series.

Its suppose to have a 13 episode run, I dont think it will have more than that though, the public are never fond of these types of shows. Too dark probably for high ratings. Goggle " American Gothic" that show was another type kind of like American Horror Story. The devil disguised as the sheriff. You'll probably like that one.
I remember that one it was a good show, I am going to have to re-watch that series again, I find it also comes down to people not lilking shows where the point of the plot is to make you think. It is also most likely why many of the great U.K. Series are re-made for the american audiences as they find it dificult to understand the accents and have no desire to read subtitles.
So good serials have a tendancey to get cancled after one season and Prime Suspect with Maria Bello is on the bubble for ratings and on the verge of cancelation, it comes down to a more sensationalist style of drama that has a simple plot to follow :/ and heaven forbid they have a show that does not involve andst and/or a love triangle that drags on and on

I am a fan of grim/dark and the occasional bad guy winning, they could actually pull off a series if they were willing to have the house as the main character and it continued with subsequent tenants moving in for different stories, we have already seen that the house has a long history already.

For you guys that arent watching. You have missed out on the best new show of 2011. Please turn off the UFC fights for a minute and catch up if FX has a marathon once the 1st season is over in 2 weeks.

After watching the first episode, I figured I wouldn't care if all the occupants died. Perhaps that is a good thing for the show?
I remember all the commercials for the "free preview" of FX Canada but I could never find it on the line-up. I've got SHAW cable here. Don't think they added it to the avaialble channel line-up at the time. I did watch the first episode one night on CityTV when they did a pseudo preview for a few of the FX shows. For the most part, I thought it was pretty good although I did think that it got a little too weird too quickly. I would've preferred a slower build of the tension. But I would've kept watching the show had it been on a channel I could watch.
