Am I the only one afraid of HPV?

HPV can be passed through skin-to-skin contact, even with the use of a condom right? So why does it seem as though no one is really worried about it. I've read that most people who have it don't even know it. I would be willing to have a lot more fun if not for this fear.

Does everyone know something that I don't? Or am I justified in being cautious?

Sounds the same as Herpes...I think 1 out of 4 people have herpes but most don't even know it!!!

Although, I heard if you have a breakout of HPV then can grow around the asshole and up into the Colon...and they can crack and bleed which can be painful and increase spreading... I think fags usually get this or people into anal sex!

Personally, I am just worried about getting HIV...

Thank you for the responses. It sounds like the vaccine is the way to go. I will have to look into that.

I realize it is up to me to protect myself. I am wondering however if many SP's have vaccinated themselves against HPV already.

I'm in the process of getting vaccinated for HPV (you need three shots done at separate times). I'm very cautious about my health, and it's very important to do all you can to protect yourself. Not sure if men can get vaccinated, but I really have no idea, that's a better question for the Health Nurse.

the same vaccines work for men that work for women; however, to date the free vaccination program in the schools is only for women. men can get them but they have to pay for them - i assume you are paying for your vaccines, not getting it through the school funded program (although from the looks of that scrumpdilicious bum-shot in your sig pic, i'm not so sure!! [lewd wink...] lol)
