LeoList just posted 'Sorry...visitors from your country are no longer permitted to access to LeoList at this time'

I can hardly wait for what we do next. I petition we lower the border to the 48th parallel :)

Trying to pick an escort for your next visit?

You can get a VPN so you can access all the internet you're missing. I use PIA (private internet access), then choose a server located in Canada and you're good to go. I think it's around $100 a year or so, maybe less. It also keeps your web surfing private say from your employer or ISP and such, and will let you show up as being in the country of your choice. It comes in handy for a lot of things.

This goddamm country. We have a president who is a known womanizer and subjects us down under to 1800s way of thinking. I dont get the payoff anymore of living here that much longer.

Sounds to me it was Leolist who took a preemptive step to avoid what happened with BP.

Their domain is dot cc which is hosted in the Netherlands which should be out of reach of US Govt.

I cant help but to think about the old video game Street Fighter, where when you go to fight the Americans, the American Flag appears in the screen, and the voice says, "U--S--A!!"

When I cross the border into the USA, Street Fighter's "USA" plays in my mind.

R&SFTH,
Tim McGee.
I start singing 'O Canada' when I head north, (or do Bob and Doug McKenzie bits...)

Don't even need a VPN to browse anonymously, download the TOR browser, it's the same as Firefox and hides your identity no charge

It wasn't their president, it was their congress and senate (republicans)... But Trump wants his stuff done, he will do favours for the republicans.

I remember reading about George Washington, as president he spent years rapping people on the knuckles in congress and the senate, that were trying to make him a King, change the constitution to their benifit,or other stupid stuff that didn't benefit all Americans.

The internet is the new big business thing with advertisers going there, because that's where the people are going. Look at Facebook, Amazon, Google, their founders and companies together are worth hundreds of billions of dollars. And yes the old guard are striking back at their revenue sources... (more advertise on those companies then they do in newspapers now ; that's why newspapers are failing across Canada and US).

As I understand the US bill is supposed to target slave trafficking and people that exploit minors. The latest bill is targeting the owners of the companies like backpage, and holding them accountable because its where escorts/SW advertise their services. The thought process is that the escorts are being manipulated... But how much were criminals, trafficking women or minors advertising on backpage? For the few that are criminals I hope they get caught, its just sad for the majority that aren't.

Everyone knows that congressmen and senators are corrupt, so maybe the people that support them (with donations) might be the ones behind the majority of trafficking and they needed to shut down their competition on the internet in the name of justice. Trafficking will continue and so will the exploiting of minors, it just will be taken underground where law enforcement can't see it.

Think about the history of where escorts advertised. Yellow pages, Craigslist, Backpage, Newspapers, - slowly its all being shut down, the new law in the states prevents anyone from opening up the same type of advertising in the states, VPN to hide your online activities, eventually there will be laws against having A VPN outside your country! All under terrorism, fighting organized crime etc...

The freedom of information is being suppressed. Look at how one sided news shows are now. Very few present both sides of an issue. Newspaper and TV news shows have been slowly downsizing on reporters because they don't have the ad revenue they did 15 years ago. Good Reporting is slowly drying up and being replaced with one sided political views.

You are correct, it was passed by a republican Congress but it had wide support from the Dems including Pelosi and Shummer. This bill was passed by an unholy alliance of "Born again Christians" and many women's groups including NOW and Me Too.

It will be the saddest day when Americans are not allowed to get groovy down in TJ. I go about twice a year. How can they enforce you there. Put a monitor device on you? When I come back from Tj I always tell the truth. I went to the red light district. And never get any hassle back from agents.

The only two senators who voted Nay are Widen (D-OR) and Paul (R-GA). The bills were passed 97-2. McCain didn't vote; I think he was not in DC.

So things are not going so well in the Land of Freedom?

Moving the border southward is one idea. Another would be Cascadia. Alaska, BC, Washington, Oregon, California and Baja Mexico with laws that take the best of the US, Canada and Europe. Fat Chance, I know.

The .CC TLD is not based in Norway. "cc is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory of 5.4 square miles (14 km2; 1,400 ha) and about 600 inhabitants. It is administered by a US company, VeriSign, through a subsidiary company eNIC, which promotes it for international registration as "the next .com"; .cc was originally assigned in October 1997 to eNIC Corporation of Seattle, Washington, by the IANA."

I assumed the reference to Norway was regarding where Leolist's host is located, not their domain registration.
Two different things.

California alone would dwarf the rest of Canada, in terms of population and GDP.
