Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Yes it is. You can't afford to have people hanging around not spending money.
People may not like it but their business is not the local homeless shelter.
Same goes for the people who buy a small coffee then sit there on their computer for 4 hours.

I recall back in the 70's I had a relative who owned a cafe in rural Saskatchewan. The local farmers would all come in, buy a cup of coffee, sit there for 2 hours, drink free refills and leave a quarter on the table.
They were losing money hand over fist on coffee.
They brought in a 1 free refill policy and you would have thought they had just raped the guys' wives and daughters.
Farmers vowed never to return!
The customers must have gotten over it though becasue the cafe survived.

Cheers

I live close to a local coffee shop (not a Timmies). There was an older guy who used to hang out there for hours. I suspect he had mental health issues. He was very unkempt and had extremely intense body odour. When he was there the shop was almost always empty.

I don't want to sound cold, heartless, and unappreciative of the challenges faced by the homeless and/or mentally ill. But at the end of the day, a business has to make money.

It’s one of my pet peeves at a lot of Starbucks with these people taking up real estate when I need to get on my laptop.

They’ll buy a tall coffee and make it last way too long.

It’s not a poor people problem just at Tim’s but more of a entitled society thing where they are inconsiderate and don’t give a shit.

I popped int McD's on Kingsway and Victoria area late one evening and there were groups of Chinese and natives that would have looked at home in a homeless shelter and you could tell they were in no hurry to leave. I think they were basically treating it as a shelter. I wasted no time leaving.

A lot of people who sit around at TH are usually jobless or on welfare this might force peoe to go out and start looking for work.
