Oh, no! I haven't been accepted in the inner sanctum! Gee, what a drag, I was really hoping to start up some meaningful relationships here...Yeah, right. Fuckin' losers, calling losers losers. I'm no different, but at least I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. Bring on the "clever" cum-backs...
I picture a site full of Comic Book Guys.

Since you are such a nice person....I will give you ONE GEM....Her name is SSSSSHHAAAAAWWWNNNNAAAAA and she is wicked...you will have a blast with her. Her contact is 604-773-6310 ...good luck man.... ;)

For my 2 cents, I guess I would just echo Squirrel... it takes time man.

No matter what you do people aren't really even going to notice you until you contribute some stuff, and even then it takes a couple months at least.

A lot of the new guys will post some detailed reviews when they are starting out. I did this and bubbles112 is another example of that with his Heidi Starr reviews and some others he did. Or a new guy will get some SW numbers and offer them to people. This gets the ball rolling and gives people a reason to look at your posts. If you start fighting with people right at the beginning the rest of the board will just write you off and start ignoring you permanently.

How many times have we seen on this board... "so-and-so the SW provides a good BBBJ CIM for $40 (or whatever). Contact me for her number", and then the thread just explodes with guys with less than 20 posts who haven't posted reviews going "come on dude, gimme the number. You box is full. What the fuck!!"

It just doesn't really work like that around here, so it seems. People like to use their info strategically... and why not? If you discovered something good... do you want to give it to 10,000 people. Perbs will help out a guy if they think the dude has contributed in the past or maybe they can get something helpful from him in the future.

I lurked around here for a long time, years really, just taking and not giving anything. I had a couple handles but didn't really post much... even though I was pooning once in awhile and could have given reviews. I regret that because you get a lot more out this board if you put yourself out there as a personality and contribute... but like Squirrel says, it takes time. Hell, the first couple months I was "ghostie" most of the members, senior and otherwise, never said squat about anything I said on here, unless it was a review. (and this is still the case half the time  , I'm still basically a newbie in terms of quality info. Most of my shit has been just garbage stuff in the Lounge.)

Turning the other cheek is a hell of a good strategy on this board too. Ultimately... all each of us is is an annonymous handle. Nobody can do any damage to you, so why bother fighting back? It just makes you look bad and then you get even less out of the board than before.

On the "Comic Book Guy" thing, man... I know it is tempting to see yourself as the only guy on here that is good looking, has a career, and can get a date in the real world, but the longer you stay on here the more you will realize how different all the people on here are. The members really run the gamut in terms of age, career, income, experiences, hobbies, interests, race, ethnicity, etc.

It's kinda like playing pool. No matter how good you think you are, the next guy to walk into the bar just might blow your doors off with his game. Maybe not, but he might. The point is you don't really know and you can't really just assume that everyone is a loser. The evidence just doesn't bear that out.

My best guesses would lead me to believe that there are a number of doctors, lawyers, university professors, computer programers, people who own and operate substantial businesses, pilots, law enforcement, firefighters, professional musicians, dudes that make big $$ on the oil rigs, in forestry, construction, fishermen, etc., etc. that are on, and have been on this board over the years. If those are all fat Combic book guys with their ass cracks hanging out I would be really surprised.

There are a lot of young kids on here too... just who spend most of their time telling everyone how rich they are and how they drive a brand new BMW 530i and all this stuff... but then they never post a review or anything   or they end up saying things which make it pretty clear that they are just another kid on the computer that doesn't have the cash to poon. And surprise, surprise they are the ones that, in my view, do 90% of the fighting and overreacting. Don't be one of those guys. I'm not saying you are one, but you are acting like one with some of your posts.

Remeber... you're just a handle. People know nothing about you except what you tell them. That overreacting stuff tells them a lot. I'll give you a chance and I know that most of these other guys on here will as well. But you've got to give it some time and stop setting off bombs of your own making in your own lap. It just makes you look silly.

Ghostie Bro ... dem be some good words ... I liked what you 'ad to say to the new brethren. It be fair and kind from the 'eart. Puppies always bark loud when then are not getting their fair share of the dog food ... and then they destroy their cardboard box and end up sleeping in their own piss ... but we brethren clean dem up and let 'em run on the grass once and a while ... and then eventually they give something of themselves back ... and become good old snoop dogs like the rest of us.

Keep it groovin' bros :)

ghostie .... great post ( except that statement about the Lounge ..... some people post ONLY here, and still are recognized :D )

As for the variety of Perb members ....
I'm not sure, but I probably know the largest number of perberts ( OK, some of our girls know many more, but this is not the way I want to know them ), this is due to PA meetings, dinners, Robson Reports, PSGs ... and all other ones that I either organized or was invited to ( not to mention all the evenings at the strip bars with other guys and girls ). The variety of pooners is just unbelievable .... any size, body shape or colour, any kind of employment, any kind of political view .. any kind of tax brackets, you will find at least one between us ( OK, nobody said yet to me, he is a priest ).
I met people working 8$ jobs and a corporate managers ... both enjoying the same hobby. They are guys who openly say .. this is the only way I can go to bed with a good looking girl ... and there are the guys that girls cannot take their eyes away from. Putting all of us into one group, and stick a label saying .... LOOOOOOOOOSERS is a mistake.
Stay around for a while .... read what people have to say .... but try to read deeper then what they post .... deeper than Hitrack's "never pay more than a green" ... SonnyB's answer to everything "fuck you", or Squirrel's babbling about perbertian campfire. We all try to say something about us in our posts .. without saying it. Perb can be a great book to read ... and great place to meet new people.

maybe not for getting the inside scoop on the hot sp's but if you need your car, bike, computer, roof, gutters, basement, stove, vcr etc etc etc fixed, or are looking to purchase one, or evade taxes, the law, parking tickets, angry boyfriends this is the place to be.

or you just like a good joke, nice pic, weird news ...

jeez, get in line! I was getting ignored here way back when people were still noticing that you had shit your diaper!

i have killed more threads by posting anything (even a smilie)! even if the thread is about that chick giving out free bbbjcim, I post, its toast.

when you have killed your first 1,000 threads like I have you can babble about being ignored ...

rookie.
