on every street corner, funny there are not more GOOD bbq chicken places here , all we get is the shit places like kfc and churches.

What's a good place to find bbq/grilled/roasted chicken or other meats on stick? Skewers, I mean.

No fine dining. I mean like a common/corner place where you can just get meat on stick as take out. Like fast food. Hmm.. maybe some greek place? Why don't they sell it at Tim Hortons? $2 a stick?
How about your own home/making it from scratch... Do some research on how to make the perfect BBQ chicken, mix in some spices, herbs, and sauce, BAM! now try it out on your own first. If that works (and assume it's yummy yummy in your empty tummy) then serve it to people that come over for a meal or two.
Last time I was in Mexico I bought a dozen chicken necks at Pollo Feliz, mmmmmmmm,
they leave on that bit of skin at the base of the neck and let it get all crispy, good eats.
A poultry related anecdote, many years ago I went to a movie in Hong Kong and rather than popcorn and chocolate the snacks available were corn on the cob and duck gizzards. I quite enjoyed that.
safeway and other big food store chains have whole ROASTED chicken on a spit ,
a far cry from a good wood or charcoal bbq chicken , that has that great flavour.
if i was younger i would open a place.
i remember a cool place in old Barcelona , on a street corner with a huge rotisory that went up 15 ft. with hundreds of chickens on it , and layers of coals and small fires at different levels, loooked really cool and always and huge line up. but real smokey with real wood.

Parking lot BBQ on Hastings in BBY. Not sure the name but it's next door to a meat shop on many days in the summer.
They set the BBQs up in the parking lot and off they go. One of the best BBQ chickens I've ever had.

Jollibee's. It is a Philipino fast food place. Very moist and flavorul chicken.
Closest one to Vancouver would be in Tukwila, WA.
But, there are two in Las Vegas and several in the Bay Area, One in downtown SF. Also more than a dozen outlets in SoCal.
