Getting rid of Syria as a threat, weakening Venezuela and Cuba, and now basically destroying the Iranian regime and reducing their military capability. Essentially eliminating all of China and Russia's potential allies. I read that US Navy only has eight days worth of ammunition to fight the Chinese in the Pacific.

I think they are getting ready for something more significant with Russia/China.
