I was checking some members that were on my profile. After clicking on there name 0 posts. I understand there is some SP here wanting to only read or checking out guys. But there can't be that many I have only been a member for 6 months and have over 500 visitors. Next to a few members that post regular or other randoms. What are these rest doing over just reading and checking your past reports. I find this a bit strange and it creeps me out if someone has been around or member for 2 to 4 years and has never posted. Maybe a few but the numbers don't match to the amount profiles with age and zero feedback. Has anyone seen this or felt the same. A forum is about shared knowledge not a way to judge or creep unless for select few. I am new to this type of thing and it might be normal. If so if your checking out other's reviews speak up it's called give and take. Sorry to rant or question but if to keep playing this game there should be a level playing field.

I have never really paid much attention to who was looking at my profile, decided to see how many posts the last 10 visitors had, besides one guy the total was 2....

I get quite a few pm's, I usually check their post history before I respond, if there is a history of being "combative" or what I feel are "dumb" posts I normally don't respond, but in your case (for example)if I see you are friends with Tia (or other professional ladies) that's good enough for me...

Ok. I dont know if it's just me but some times, I'm doing this on my phone as I'm doing now. So sometimes when I press on a title of a post, I mistakenly press the OPs name instead. Didn't mean to check out that person but it happens.

Also, what does being friends with another mean? Does it get you quicker PM? Or special status? I dont have any friends. Some people have lots of friends. I dont see the advantage. Maybe I'm missing something.

Personally my "friends" list is either girls I have seen multiple times or ladies I wish to see at some point, as for gents that are friends I feel we share similar taste, one thing about getting a pm from someone with limited history (specifically about looks/tattoos/scars etc) my first thought is BF/SO family, I never respond to these...

Same here. I accidentally touch the name instead of thread title all the time and go on profiles.

so does being friends with someone gives you special access or instant PM? Or is it just bragging rights?

For me it's easier to find them if they are on my friends list (if I have a question or a referral)...

Same here. Usually going for the thread title ends up on someone's profile. Either bad aim or fat fingers ;)

Totally agree with wintersurfer. Same goes for me.
I used to have a personal policy of not replying to 0 post members via pm.

I guess in a moment of weakness I recently replied to a new guys pm. Suffice it to say his reply to me after his date with one of my good to go SP's was less than flattering about her and my review. He still has zero posts and she had no clue who the hell it was.

So I'm back to not replying to zero posters.

Or a way to remove members who post nothing. We always assume it is other members like ourselves. However, it could also be the legal community or a sp tracking her guests.

I'd propose a short probationary period. If no reviews ever result, give a warning with a closing of the account if it were to not change. The value added from these never post trolls I cannot understand.

Im one of them.

Don't feel comfortable posting. I will do it eventually because this forum is quite useful and I want to give back.

Doesn't help that the community doesn't seem overly friendly to new posters. The amount of times I've seen people rag on new people, calling them shills and what not doesnt help when I'm already nervous about posting.

Glad someone made a thread about this.

As for the profile views... No idea. That is odd.

I'll comment on this; since I've possibly one of the oldest join dates.

I tend to see the same SP or SP's. I'll comment on a review on them but seldom start a new one as they are already reviewed. Also since I see them frequently might be treated differently. I pm a great deal.

There also seems to be a belief that high post count makes the poster more credible. Perb has had a host of pimps, promoters, shills , and white knights touting the merits of various SP's. Some of these sadly actually begin to believe they're a big deal. When I first joined Perb was dominated by a couple of Assholes. They didn't actually read the review but asked questions in the thread or made a stupid comments. . Then there was the 'Queen Sp' and Queens of the Board' period. Various SPs and their supporters had a little mudslinging, internet threat, cries for help, etc. Any one remember Victoria Lee, Avarice? Then there was the Asian invasion and its various shops and enthusiasts, personally I'm not into them. The last few years have been interesting with So many posters appearing to be manifestations of Gideon Crew. You know everything, whether it's manly outdoor pursuits, all about wine, art, music, investing or your previous career as a Special Forces / Mossad agent. I have here and in other forums made a post and one of the above types has trolled up the internet to defend their belief. I'm not into that, the various flame wars that have gone on and despite the amazing job by the mod here, I don't want to post often. Perb's entertaining but in the same way watching two middle aged, fat balding guys in gas station Oakley's fight over a parking spot is.

Also sometimes my finger hits the last posters name rather than the little box under their name.

Oh!, I'm Professional, Widower, daughter late teens, could lose a few pounds.

Wow, not sure if you were referring to Peter North and the "Does she give good head" bit but he was the first person that came to mind when I was reading your reply.... honestly, I kind of wish he was still posting so I could still see that awesome "butt of girl wearing fishnets" avatar every so often when he would comment in a thread. :pout:

Still lost in the '60s
I didn't even realize there was a function that showed who had been reading my profile.
Of course, I'm kind of a newbie around here.

Welcome.

Giving back is encouraged. These days, calling shill is not considered cool on PERB, I don't think. I and other long-term posters came to defense of new posters more than once. The site administration are supportive of reviewers as well.

One review by a new poster will rarely get a full trust (especially if it reads like an ad, the girl wasn't reviewed before, reviewer not heard since). After a few contributions, people will have better reasons to trust you. Strangers cause suspicions and paranoia of some, which goes away as people get to know you better.

There was a similar topic recently, lots of noise / inside jokes, but some meaningful opinions too:

Exactly what happened to me during the last week. I tried using my phone to read reviews and did this so many times I actually wondered if the OP thought why would I be visiting his page so often.

Needless to say better to read reviews on tablet or computer.

The majority of your profile views are going to be accidental clicks, myself included. I've lost track of how many times I wanted to click on a thread title only to hit the username of the post directly below it. I don't think many care enough to read or browse people's profiles on here. The number of times I intentially visited a user profile? Zero.
