Well that is certainly one way you can handle it but maybe not recommended. Perhaps you could try, " Hey CiBC, I want to put a deposit on a car but I am worried that the guy could auto deposit my money. Is there any time limit or way I can retrieve my deposit?"

I checked the Interac site and a couple of bank sites and I saw no reference to this. It may vary by bank but best to check with your bank to confirm.

Well said Jezzabelle and welcome to the forum. Your honesty and candor is greatly appreciated. I would love to see more ladies get involved on the forum as I think it promotes a better and safer community for all when there is open and respectful dialog between providers and clients.

If this is Apple 3634 that you are referring to, it is a different experience than I had. She responded promptly to my texts and requested a call to confirm details. But it is concerning that two of you report issues. Maybe I hit her on a good day?
