That's not a legitimate measure. It doesn't take into account things like the amount of sex a couple has while trying to conceive or what constitutes recreational sex.

It is recreational if you have no intention to get pregnant at all. Every time you use birth control or just have a one night stand or see escorts it is recreational.
If nature intended men to have sex all the time to make sure there are enough offsprings, why didn't it give animals the same instincts? Obviously, animals can maintain the population level by having sex only at certain times and for procreation only.
