grow a pair you fucking douche
i seriously doubt the cops are going to give much attention to a grown man complaining about an assault charge. unless you look like you were run through a meat grinder, or ended up in emergency, i don't see the cops doing much to punish the guy who kicked the crap out of you.
without getting into too much detail...a "guy" i know was at the bar one night, and it was getting towards closing time, and he wasn't doing so good. by that i mean he didn't know when to say when. needless to say he was pretty hammered, so he made his way to the bathroom to empty his stomach into the sink, and be on his merry way.
for some odd reason one of the bouncers took exception to this, and followed this guy into the bathroom telling him it was time to go. so, this "guy" tells the bouncer, politely i might add, to give him a minute to get his shit together and he'd be on his way.
the bouncer, being the stunning intellectual that most bouncers are, couldn't leave well enough alone and decided to lay his hands on this "guy." well this "guy" took exception, turned around and cranked the bouncer in the head. bouncer's nose shatters, blood vomits everywhere, and he's on the ground. guy walks out the bathroom, out of the bar, hails a cab, goes home and passes out.
over the next little while the cops start showing up at his house, asking questions, they start calling all his friends, all the bouncers friends, doing the whole CSI thing trying to figure out what happened in that bathroom and after all was said and done the "guy", who i might add felt awful about what happened, ended up never seeing the inside of a courtroom, but was banned from said nightclub.
i suppose the point i'm trying to make is that there are more important things for the cops to worry about then you getting your ass handed to you.the other point i'm trying to make is the "guy" in that story was guilty as sin. he knew it, the cops knew it, the bouncer who got his face caved in knew it, and in the end nothing really came of it other then everyone's time being wasted. and that all things considered even if there were grounds for criminal charges, and that you did manage to get a conviction, and the guy did manage to get a fine, or heaven forbid, time served, or community service in the end i doubt you would feel like any less a douche at the end of it all as you do now.
to echo the other two guys...you probably deserved it. be a man. the way i see it, sooner or later everyone has to take a beating. life throws things like this at us sooner or later, and they don't build character, they reveal it.
