Hi, I heard Lifemates Canada is not a dating site. They actually make an appointment with you to sit down in person and discuss your preferences. They will gather as much information about you and then match you with other members in their database and then arrange for you to meet them in person.is my first time i heard about that one. i think is like any other dating site i did try a few but not success story to tell , yeah i have met people too.. maybe that one is better because they ask specific criteria to find the soul mate.
try it. and tell us what you think about it as feeds back thanks..
i would love to try it but i have still some credit in a other dating site.

Dude you can't expect girls to contact you unless you look like a model and write like a comedy or motivational writer. They've got choice up the yin-yang and if you want to be succesful in online dating you'd better start contacting girls yourself. Don't be so passive. The scam on pay dating sites is that you will have your profile and girls will supposedly be interested in you, only for you to get excited, pay the membership, contact them and nothing happens.I haven't had much luck with plentyoffish.. Didn't really try yet either though with fish. All I did was create a profile, but no one contacted me.
At singlesnet.com all I did was create a profile and I have ladies wanting to contact me. I just didn't pay for the service yet (not really ready for another relationship right now). You have to pay a fee (not bad price) to write to most of the ladies. I learned of singlesnet from my dad. He's met a few ladies already. Create a free profile and see what happens before you pay.

I put a profile on plenty of fish and have been contacted by over 20 women. I'm not all that attractive, but my profile is pretty detailed. I have yet to contact a woman on POF because I'm kept busy responding to the POF women. Some of the women obviously don't have good reading comprehension skills and therefore never got past exchanging a message, some of the women couldn't recognize a good suit and some of the women couldn't deal with my work. I thought one was in the running, but ran into her with another fish purely by accident. (yes, he was POF, I asked as I did the friendly fancy meeting you here thing)Dude you can't expect girls to contact you unless you look like a model and write like a comedy or motivational writer. Give plentyoffish a chance, and keep in mind that what you are gaining in "convenience" while online dating, you are losing in time, it is an incredibly time-consuming affair. Nothing comes close to the immediate feedback you can get when you walk up to a cute girl and ask her out in person, but I know that does not work for everyone.
I don't know about singlesnet... haven't heard any comments on it.
There's also "Book Of Matches" which is free: http://www.bookofmatches.com/
good luck!
Oh and one thing, I've found that it is easier to get responses from newly signed-up members. I guess they're still wide-eyed from the novelty and willing to give things a try. Plus, they haven't had the time to get jaded from online dating and creeps claiming to be someone they're not. A lot of people actually get tired of it really quickly because of ongoing bad experiences with dishonest people.
I did use such a matchmaking service about 10 years ago, long before there were other options like online dating and speed dating. At the time, I paid something like $4000 and it didn't result in much success. The service matched me with some real spastic dogs for the most part, while the very few attractive ones either weren't attracted to me or were way too many Fruit Loops short of a full box to keep me around. At least with online dating I can pick my own. My advice is to save your money, spend it on either online dating or give the speed dating a try.Hi, I heard Lifemates Canada is not a dating site. i saw speed dating threw the t.v that seam fun but i get i was too busy in montreal doing speed escorting..Another ripoff that has come along in the last few years is "speed dating". There are a variety..one of the popular ones is "8 minute dating". You have 8 minutes to sit with each woman and tell them your life story and then at the end, you'll fill in a card and if she also filled that she would like to meet you, then the moderator will exchange your information.
I went a couple of times.....talked to a few who I thought were interested in me (by the types of questions that they had asked) and in the end, I got burned. There are better ways that I could of spent my $30 !
My two cents.
yeah speed dating is more real..it take courage..and the motivation to really met. i am too chicken shit to do so and too capitalist to waist my time in it.The nice thing about speed dating is that you get to see right away who you're dealing with - no faked photos, no phony online personalities. It's not about having to tell your entire life story in those few minutes, the important thing is that you hit it off with someone, that you get that interpersonal chemistry. The downside is that you have to trust that the moderator is actually going to match you, ya never know if she doesn't like you for some reason. Also, you are essentially competing with 12 other guys, so when the chicks are filling out their match cards they are going to compare you against the guys with the prettier smiles and more exciting lives.
