I am baffled as to why arguing about this is still even a thing. Get over it already.
People second guessing decisions that were made to prevent the deaths of their own loved ones . The decision makers had to err of caution as the same people critical of their decisions are the ones prone to sue anybody in charge as they love confrontation and play the offended virgin .
That article would fail as a university level assignment. An awful lot of assumptions and outright misinformation.

Selfishness isn't going to go away. Perhaps it has plateaued, but the "all about me" mindset of individuals has, in general. a very distorted perspective, especially amongst the far right or left.
I like to put on and wear a mask outdoors when it's cold. I like to use an umbrella when it's raining, instead of trying to look macho or cool and being drenched. I wear a mask in crowded places or indoor spaces.
Covid is with us. Shitting on those who wear masks because is nothing short of passing judgment. Is absolutely ableist: “no mask for me, just to protect you” and classist (the privileged can much more afford to get sick than poorer ppl). How was it? I got the OG version in 2021, was out of commission for almost 2 weeks, barely made it out of bed. Hoping the new versions are weaker?
Got home Monday night not feeling great. Woke up middle of the night hacking up my lungs. The stuff ending up in the sink was disgusting. Head ache like a bad tequila hangover. Got through Tuesday and yesterday and now its like a cold but with the feeling I'm not here. If this is it, its a fucker when it hits but fades fast. Actually as I'm writing this, I feel OK so ... from a sample of one, it hits like a motherfucker and fucks off just as fast.
