Where’s a good place to get a pre paid cell and who has the cheapest plan?

TIA

Just download a burner app on your phone. You basically get to pick your cell phone number. Then just turn notifications off so it doesn’t go off when your at home lol. I have always used it. Never had a problem. Plus you can press the “ burn it “ button at any point and that number will no longer exist. Sure it’s 6 bucks a month but it’s a small price to pay For not getting busted !

There are many apps that let you burn your number and also pick your number. Does this show up as a app phone number though?

Is this the app you're talking about? https://www.burnerapp.com/

No I use a different one but providers can still determine if it’s a App number or not.
For example , your burner number would show up as “iristel inc” . Which the providers know is a app number because it’s a VOIP . They may have still replied to you bc they did not care that you were using an app number ( some say no app numbers but will still respond ) . BUTthe ones that really don’t respond to app numbers prob won’t respond.

Just wondering if a lot of people have significant others/ partners on here? Just curious how you find it doing this and if there is any guilt or whatever? (I am by no means judging or anything like that)
I do have one now. But when I got started in this hobby I didn’t. So… it’s been a bit of a guilt feeling for me anyways keeping this going. However my convoluted mindset is is that I’m getting massages and technically I’m not really touching them. Lol. Oh god. Even typing that ! I’m such an ass hat !

i do believe it helps me feel more relaxed and gives me more patience with my kids etc, and it’s not as if I don’t put in maximum effort with my girlfriend. Well, asides from my extra curricular activities lol

App numbers show up as normal numbers. But reverse 411 shows the carrier , in which you can then determine it’s a app number.
hmm weird. I did not know that. Well either way, I have yet to have a single problem using that app with providers. Even when their ad says no texting apps I still get through using mine. Maybe some of the cheap free texting apps show more information ? I honestly don’t have a clue 🤷‍♂️

The majority of the time I too have no prob with providers that say no texting apps. But I do get some that don’t respond. And then I test the theory by using my real cell number with the same message and they respond to that . i have tried this test on all the ones that don’t respond to my texting app. And in all cases they respond to my real number. However, the number of providers who actually don’t respond to texting apps despite what their ad says , is about 5 percent .

I also do that test to differentiate between them actually not responding to a texting app or that they are just busy/not avail to answer the text .

You will find several threads on the ERB's about burner phones but here's a quick summary. For those of us requiring discretion (yes I have an SO, no I am not wracked by guilt) it is the safest way to go. A real phone # but in no way attached to my name. I use an old iphone kept turned off in a box of old electronics with loads of other crap. 7-11 speak out seems to be the best choice amongst pooners, although there are other alternatives. It's easy, airtime is cheap and can be paid for completely in cash in any 7-11.

I got caught once.... Stupid me, left my cell in the bathroom by accident. So hunted down my old iPhone 4s, cleaned it right out to basics. I searched online for the least expensive basic service. It is currently 11 bucks a month. I keep this phone powered down hidden under some papers in my study, (man cave). Access it once a day. It only goes out with me when on a planed adventure. So far this one has been good for me.
