I went for some wild rides in the Hemi cars back in the day, always remember how they push you right back in your seat once he drops that clutch. Mopars are amazing cars for sure!

You got that right Mr scooter. Back in the day those were street legal race cars right off the show room
floor boasting 500 plus HP. And thats not just the Hemi cars for Christ sake.
The other beasts with 440 sixpacks were nearly all of that as well with a listed HP or around a very
underrated 390 HP. That's a laugh. LOL!!

A stock 383 4bbl was listed at 335 HP. Proven to have dyno'd at 390 HP from the show room.
NICE!!

I would love to have ridden with you in that Hemi Challenger but damn man, there's just something missing
when you turn the key on one of those things. They just don't shake the ground upon ignition like that
GTX above...............

LOL!!!! Until you put your foot into it. Then look the fuck out and hang on!!!!!

Wise words indeed Lo-ki. Everytime I take my Mopar ground pounder out for a burn I've got perverbial
rubber neck and its not because of the jean shorts babes walking the street.

It's looking out for the other rubber neckers who are looking at the jean shorts babes. LOL!!

Not a bad looking car but I prefer one that is stock rather than modified.
I gotta agree with you blaster. Love 'em more pure than anything else. I run my 500HP babe right through the stock
exhaust tips through the rear valance just like stock. Lot of comments about not over modifying is always
received with appreciation. But between those tips and the heads? That's another story. LOL!!!

Nice tune Punt to go along with a gorgeous classic. R/T badge on that babe means
its sports a 440 super commando plus track pack to boot. Nice ride!!

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Love the old muscle cars.
Never owned one myself as cash was in short supply in my younger years. I did have a buddy in high school who had a '72 Road Runner GTX. I think it had a 440 in it. That was a sweet ride. Another friend had a GTO.
My nephew has a Dodge Charger with a 5.0 Litre Hemi in it. I've driven it a couple of times. Love the rumble. (He says it is "straight piped" what ever that means.)
I keep teasing my daughter that one day I'm going to spend some of her inheritance on one of these old beauties. The only problem here is Winnipeg is I'd have to store it for 6 months of the year and sharing the road/parking lots with all the careless drivers out there.

Cheers

Straight pipes typically means no mufflers. Check out the the Mustang GT Steve McQueen is driving in the movie Bullitt, it has straight pipes.

I dropped a 5.7 Gen III Hemi into a '68 Dart conv. backed-it up with a Tremec 5 speed, 4 wheel discs, coil-overs (AlterKtion) and 4-link rear...went like a (faster) Bullet :)

I am really not a muscle car guy.
Porsches? Ferraris? Etc. Yup.
These days - Teslas and other high-powered electrics? Oh, I'd love to have one of those.

But there is one muscle car I do respect and would love to drive:

Other cars may out-perform this thing in real life, but no muscle car ever had such an aura of death as this one. The Mad Max films reign supreme.

Loved those movies to rlock and they had a special place for all the mayhem. Totally wild!!
Check out these two combatants. Argueably the best car chase scene ever.
I you ever get a hold of the video. Grab it as it's a keeper. I have my own copy not for sale.

I give you the chase scene from "BULLITT" Well the first part anyway. lol

Never much cared for cars with the steering wheel on the wrong side. Shelby race cars excepted of course.

In case you missed it, I was laughing too! Responding to master blasters "steering wheel on the wrong side" LOL!!!
And yup, it sure would be. But you know what dude, someone will do just that prolly sooner than later.
It never ceases to amaze me what strange machines men can come up with.

Like VW beetles doing high 9's in the 1/4 mile. with a VW engine, twin turbo's and bottled. Incredible. LOL!!

The guy told me the engine/tranny usually lasts about 10 passes if he's REAL lucky. NO DOUBT!!!!
