My Mom died when I was seven originally told was a heart attack then updated to a brain
aneurysm seven years later, Both lies.

She died from a Pulmonary Edema due to complications of a kidney infection.
Once she was gone my father never spoke of her again.

My father was one of the most selfish people I have ever dealt with, The wrong parent died
IMHO.

Changing the past is a dangerous idea, your past is what made you who you are today.

There are plenty of regrets for me in my past but I survived.
I had friends born with a silver spoon in their mouth who never struggled with anything and are now total douchebags.

This is pretty much how I see it. I've made mistakes. I can't go back and undo them, so I don't spend time dwelling on what I might have done. Anyway, if I could go back and re-live my past I'd probably just make a whole bunch of new, different mistakes.

My parents did their best for me. I was lucky. The only thing I’d change is I would have been more appreciative for everything they did for me.

Would not change a thing.I was raised by my Father and he brained good manners into me and they got ingrained.Sadly my elder brother did not get this message nor the idea of doing a hard days work.

If I had access to an Omni and could time travel I would pay my father a visit in the past and change HIS course of life as well as the outcomes in life for my elder brothers. The result would be my eldest brother not dead in a car crash and my elder brother
not being a lifer bum on welfare who is a parasite on Society. As for myself I can just imagine the potential after being told how life unfolds 30+ years from when I was 9 years old.

My father passed away just over a year ago.He deserved better than slowly losing his marbles in an old folks home held prisoner due to mobility issues.

That's awful. I'm sorry you went through that.

I was raised in a loving household that included my paternal grandfather. I now have an interest in genealogy and regret that I didn't take interest in his life stories that included pioneering in South Dakota, Nebraska and Oklahoma before settling in northern Alberta.A missed opportunity.

100% agree. Struggle and trials make everyone who they are. Sometimes I look back with regret or anger at certain events or people in my life. But then I think that if it wasn't for that negative person or event I wouldn’t be where I am now, which is a very happy place. So after reflection, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I wish I was raised privileged and entitled and and with a trust fund, never needing a real job. Then I would dislike our current prime minister so much less.

Absolutely nothing...both parents worked hard to provide for me.

We didn't have a lot of money but relied on each other.

Never had what the other kids had such as bikes, camping trips, skiing, etc.

Now enjoying what we can have and loving every minute of it!!!

Having said all of that, I will take our good health over being rich anytime of the day.
