Whether or not, in your opinion, it was a grossly exorbitant amount is not relevant to what was being discussed. As is your "well connected "Liberal" friends.
Actually it is relevant. This thread is about the electability of Trudeau. But thanks for your pedantic input.

Not that I want to start a shitstorm argument with you but I believe this statement is meant to cast doubt that this could be done.....if I'm wrong and have taken it in the wrong light, please feel free to correct me.

Lobbing a modern grenade eighty feet, over an eight foot obstacle like a wall, is more than possible.
A grenades weight, and design is for that distance.....I have thrown grenades in conflict that far, but the bullet wasn't in my back ...I can say with utmost certainty from experience .....it's very possible.
It doesn't even matter whether he "could of" or not. Khadr effectively agreed to a plea deal and plead guilty - case closed. Everyone claiming he got $10 million for being tortured or subject to sleep deprivation is also way off the mark. He got a settlement because the Government of Canada violated his Charter rights, not because he may or may not have been waterboarded or subjected to other forms of "torture" by the US. Some people have a hard time understanding that it is possible for an individual to be guilty of a criminal offense and at the same time have their Charter rights violated - which is basically the case with Kahdr.
Thanks for the support.

Uh No....the Government of Canada did not violate his Charter Rights as the Canadian Government did not detain him/torture him etc and he was was not "water boarded".He did throw the grenade the killed a medic(a service member who is obligated to give treatment to both comrades as well as enemy combatants under the Geneva Conventions) which also blinded another US soldier who is disabled for life.

There is video of a young Omar Khadr assembling IED's on Youtube with gusto.....in short he is a fucking TERRORIST that had the JIHADIST faith in his heart. He HAS no fucking rights IMO and the best thing that SHOULD have been done at the time was for
one of the dead medic's cohorts was to take out a side arm and put a bullet between his eyes.

Pretty fucking distgusting when Trudeau hands over 10.5 MILLION to a convicted terrorist and then says to veterans "you are asking more than Canada can give right now".....Trudeau does not care as it is tax payer money he pisses away.

I thank you sir for your service to Canada and I will add.....what really pisses me of about Remembrance Day and the pathetic attention paid to it is how it is portrayed and the like.During WW1/WW2 Canadians who volunteered did NOT do so for the rights and freedoms of Canada.....they sacrificed their lives fighting on FOREIGN soil for the rights and freedoms of others....something that makes their sacrifice that much more noble.

If SNC-Lavalin was based in Calgary, and Scheer was Prime Minister a lot of guys would be calling him a hero for doing exactly what Trudeau did.
Rather than speculating on what would happen if Scheer was as much of a sanctimonious hypocrite as Trudeau, maybe you can explain why the Libs shut down the Justice Committee hearings, why Trudeau will not waive Cabinet privilege for Wilson-Raybould for anything subsequent to her resignation, why he will not waive cabinet privilege so Philpott can speak and how exactly SNC Lavalin in any way qualifies for a deferred prosecution? Read the legislation and case law. If you still think that SNC meets the standard for a deferred prosecution and that Wilson-Raybould was wrong not to interfere with Roussel’s decision I’d love to hear your argument.

Legislation and case law hasn't worked for Canada. The prime minister is a notch above the attorney-general and minister of justice. Somebody who has to face the wrath of the population at large when things don't go right, has to be there to step in and try to make things right. That's the prime minister.

Legislation is the heart of the issue here as the Lieberals snuck in the the legislation for DPA's in an omnibus budget bill and no doubt at the behest of SNC Lavalin as that company LOBBIED the Lieberal Government 50 times over the matter.Yes the Prime Minister is a notch above the Justice Minister/AG but that does not give him the right to apply preasure to the Justice Minister/AG as well as his staff in the PMO to get the result that a Lieberal party crony donor wants. As for facing the wrath of the public Trudeau is facing that now as this matter is NOT getting swept under the rug by the media and it is not going away. There is a much larger story to be heard and a lot more factual information has to come out.I figure the next casualty will be Katie Telford who thus far has escaped scrutiny.

Based on his actions, the PM is clearly several notches below the AG/Justice Minister in terms of integrity

Legislation and case law hasn’t worked for North Korea or China either.

Yeah but Trudeau "Admires China's basic dictatorship"......something he most likely wants in Canada with him at the top...along with Princess Sophie and his brood of kids along with their huge trust fund that is protected from TAXATION whilst THEY live the life of ENTITLEMENT at the cost of tax payer money.....whilst of course extolling the virtue signalling and with the mantra of "do as I say not as I do"

I've heard this coined now a few times " Basic Dictatorship."
The opposite of that would be " Complicated Democracy"
Both phrases summed up in one word would be " politics"
So my simple tax paying Ranchers brain , breaking down this one word would leave me with the equation of......

Poly- meaning two =or more than one.
Tics- a blood sucking parasite ,that if unchecked, will kill off the host it is living upon.

Answer=
POLITICS or POLITICIAN= no matter which one you look at, they are blood sucking parasites.

How long am I going to go on watching Canadians work to destroy their own economy? The SNC Lavalin issue should have been over a decade ago. The employees that signed on to bribery were fired almost immediately. The issue was taken up in a jurisdiction, Switzerland that was privy to transactions between SNC Lavalin and Libya. SNC Lavalin, a shadow of its former size now, appeals that a prosecution will push the company and its remaining employees out of Canada and the media spins that as a threat to help get rid of SNC Lavalin.

Firing the employees involved with the bribery doesn't fix the industries at all.

I've been involved with International manufacturers who sold into the Persian Gulf amongst other not so favourable regions. The sales people know that all their competitors have access to funds to gain access to higher level personnel to the decision makers. Tales of lawyers brief cases filled with cash were real.

SNC was playing by the same rules as contractors from France, UK and the USA. Problem was their audits didn't hide the facts about the bribes.

So, I can expect the Canadian wrangling over SNC Lavalin to put the contractors from France, UK and the USA in line?

I doubt it. The audit IIRC was done by an independent Swiss firm. Those countries must have some way to pay off foreign officials in those regions where payoffs are the way of doing business.

News on the radio in past hour is JWR taped a phone call with Michael Wernick (?) from PMO office. He clearly was saying do this or else because the PM wants it to happen. Talk about a smoking gun. Libs are toast now.

Ahh, the bane of overseas project management... what to call the "slush fund" that gets things done on schedule, on scope and within budget. Sometimes it's called "contingency funds", sometimes it's called "individual performance incentives", or "rewards and recognition incentives", or "early completion bonuses", or even "performance bonuses". Yep, they exist. Some companies are better at hiding them on the books than others.

Here's a good article on the subject: https://www.projecttimes.com/kevin-...anagers-should-master-the-art-of-bribery.html

BTW SNC Lavallin does overseas project management.... no judgement... just saying.

I agree with that. All it takes is 5 years of representation in the House of Commons as an MP and they get to collect the solid gold pension plan with it getting a bigger payoff the more time they put in.Not to mention all of the other stuff like expense accounts and vehicle allowances and accomodations and of course the Parliamentary Dining Room.

In a nutshell our politicians fuck tax payers over pretty good whilt feeding at the trough and getting fat.Sadly Canadians are far too docile and just take this shit....though most dont know the facts and figures.

guess the baldheaded chicken fucker should have been wearing a wire, lol

maybe he would have remembered it more accurately :eyebrows:

I agree with that. All it takes is 5 years
it's 6 years minimum, with their 5 best yrs used to calculate it

that's why you need to punt them after one term
