Bull riding, bare back and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, ladies barrels, clown bull fighting. Maybe chuck wagon races. The best place to sit is in the grandstand.

Yep....and up front if you can....that way you'll get a really good look at the pretty ladies when they circle the barrels.
I think chuck wagon racing is strictly Calgary though.
If you can get a seat across from the bull and bronc chutes......those guys most times don't make it ten feet outta there, before hitting the dirt....yours truly included.
I made eight seconds a few times, and I've got the aches and pains to prove it.
My favorite was Bull dogging, or steer wrestling..there's no rope or saddle in between you and the steer...you run along side with your horse, dismount at a full fun, grab old mossy horns, and twist his head until he rolls on a shoulder.
Only the big boys can do it....and the most mentally unstable....I was to shoulder heavy to be a good bull rider, so that event, along with calf roping was what I was best at....make sure you attend the Rodeo dance as well.
You'll see plenty of my friends competing there.
