Help me choose a last name?

I think it's easier for everyone if I just stick to a first and last name. Good suggestion though.

What do people think about these contenders:

Violet Skye
Violet Volt
Violet Trace
Violet Gibson
Violet Nova
Violet Snow

I don't want a last name that another well-known BC SP is already using, something that shouts SP, a super common word, a name/word less than 4 letters, another flower name, another colour name, something that strongly suggests a particular ancestry, or a last name too similar to another SP who also has the first name Violet. I know it's a lot to ask but I want to stick with this name permanently. It's like choosing a baby name [/hr]

Well what else do you suggest that fits my criteria then? Germaine is already in use, but I did also kind of like Violet Aura. The other 2 you suggested sound like a particular ancestry to me (which wouldn't be a problem if it was close to my own, but I'm a generic white girl). Elaborate on what you meant about Violet Sedin?

violet nova sounds good. as does violet gibson for some reason - why did you suggest a fairly common surname? or are you a guitar freak?

CJ Tylers suggested Gibson. I love Gibson guitars and I like the idea of something that sounds like a real surname.

i guess i would have to say that all of your list except gibson sorta cry out sp so if you're good with gibson that might be the way to go - and it is unique

maybe the toned down approach is the way to go given the 'restrained' legal times into which we seem about to enter

I think that while they don't really sound like real names (unless one's parents were hippies maybe) they don't scream SP like Cream, Nockers, Cumming, Kiss, Passion, Vivacious, Seduction, Vixen, Extreme, Viagra and so on (all suggested in this thread) - no offense at all to anyone who has or suggested such a name, it's just not what I'm looking for and don't feel it would suit my personality etc.

Surely uncleg can't object to Gibson based on his criticisms above?

Well, you didn't want a name associated with other ladies that are, have been, or might be in Vancouver...........so I presume you haven't heard of the "Sedin Sisters" ?

I know it probably sounds heretical but I don't actually follow hockey. And I was extra confused because I meant last names of current local well-known SPs, or last names of former local SPs, ones who tour here or used to live here, who have the first name Violet. For example Violet Blake is no longer located in Vancouver but I don't want anything similar to Blake, or Violet Rei is in Victoria but I don't want anything similar to Rei. Actually, ideally I'd prefer to stay away from last names of any ladies (regardless of first name) who are PERB advertisers/well-known on the boards so that they don't feel like I am copying them.
