When a guy uses your escort name in public.

It's every escort's worst nightmare to be called out in public with your work name. Here’s what happened to me a couple weeks ago. Has this happened to any other girls?

I’m walking home through a busy park on a sunny afternoon. Minding my own business. Lots of people around. As I walk past a group of people, a man calls out "Emmy!!"

Well, my heart skips a couple beats, to say the least. I'm totally freaked out and I don't know what to do. I put my head down and just keep walking.

He does it again. "Emmy! Hey Emmmmyyy!!!"

Jesus christ, I can't believe it. Who the f*ck is this guy?? What does he think he's doing????

Now he's yelling even louder. "Emmy! Emmy, come back here sweetie!"

Oh my god. Everyone in the park can hear him. He’s taunting me. I’m so embarrassed.

He keeps calling my name.

I've had it. I'm going to confront this idiot and give him a piece of my mind! Red-faced, shaking and furious, I whip around to face him - just as ‘Emmy’ the labrador bolts past me.

"Good girl, Emmy!!

Who names their dog Emmy? "come here girl, good girl"; no one would want to hear that as a holler in public, even though it may be a fetish behind closed doors haha! Funny story.

Good on ya keeping your cool as long as you did! Obvious now, but tearing a strip off him in public would have been a natural response, but definitely would have made THIS situation worse!

Funny,
When me and my sp were out in the pub, and my wife's girlfriend walked in on us.

I didn't know what to call her to introduce her.
My sp spoke up and used her real name.

She has a dog my sp, I suppose I could have used that name,
but then I think I would be with out a wife and a sp.

Lol! I was already getting prepared with what I would have responded with. I have only had that happen to me a couple of times. Both times I was with friends so I made eye contact and politely said, "I am sorry, but I think you've mistaken me with someone else". He got the hint right away. But it could make for a very awkward situation. I am glad that it wasn't actually directed towards you!
Lavinia seems like a pretty unique name though..

I am here.
You would think we men would KNOW not to speak to you ladies in public. I said this in another thread... Some of us JUST DON'T GET IT.

I was friendly with a well known provider before she re-entered the business and know her by her real name. I also saw her as an SP after she returned. (Given how we met, that was not weird.) She is the only SP I have met on the street, once on the ferry to The Island, and once when I was with my SO in my SO's bank.

I snuck away on the ferry and had a few minutes to speak with the SP. In the bank the SP spoke with me first, and I quietly told her my SO was at the banking machine behind her. She apologized and quickly moved on. I didn't mean to scare her away, because I could have/would have introduced her to my SO by her real name. They are almost neighbours. :fear:

This can be a two way street.

One thing I've noticed over the past 10 or so years is that more and more people are naming their dog real people names. I guess so many people can't afford having a kid, they're transferring their love and attention to the dog? So now we have dogs named Emmy where they used to be called Spot, or whatever.
My parents have a dog and named it chocolate. When people ask why they named the brown dog chocolate, my dad tells them "Cause he loves eating chocolate"

This thread is a good reminder to leave SPs alone in public. Don't say hi, don't wink, even if you think she is alone.
This is common sense for most guys.

I think it sounds odd when people give their animals people names.... My "son" is named Gucci Louboutin .... :D

OMFG how did you forget to tell me this story??? I can imagine the entire situation happening and it is hilarious!!! In retrospect, of course. I would have been doing exactly the same thing with the shaking angry part.

This has never happened to me...yet. But I was mentioning to Emmy that the last time I was at Costco, I saw a regular from my SU days. I was with a gf who knows that I work, so it wouldn't have bothered me to say hi, but I don't know what his situation is, and I would never put someone in hot water like that. This so-called hobby could ruin lives if it was discovered. Then Emmy mentioned that there was a thread about a gentleman who had seen a few SPs at Costco, and he was appalled that no one had acknowledge him. Doesn't it go without saying that in public settings, discretion still goes??

HA HA! Yes, Emmy's story is amusing.

I saw one of my clients wearing a badge and suit doing what looked like "official business" at the Airport, I NEVER would approach him. However if we were at a club or bar I might accidently "bump" into them. I was at a dinner once where one of the other ladies brought her new boyfriend. Her new BF happened to be an EX-client. Talk about 2 hours of AWKWARD! I pretended I did not know him, even saying "whats your name again?"

What was I supposed to do!?!? At least I knew why he had not called in a while and that he was being faithful to her.

Chocolate is poisonous for dogs you should tell them they are killing him
No that wasn't what I meant. They named the dog chocolate cause its colour is chocolate brown. My dad is a sarcastic old man. Who hates when people ask why it was named that, when its so obvious.
His hobby is getting old ladies mad.

That is so funny, for some reason I have met or seen multiple clients at Costco also and a few at Ikea of all places. Some were alone and initiated a conversation with me which I would never even let on i knew them unless they started first and some with with spouses and same goes. I have also been out with friends that don't know my occupation and have been approached by a client who stopped to chat. And same as the rest of you my heart stopped. One saving thing is my escort name is the same name that is on my Identification. I know must have a escort name but if someone really wants to find out who I am I'm sure they can. It helps when in public with friends when they use the same name as everyone else lol. I also can cut them off before they make a uncomfortable situation unbearable by quickly saying I know them in a normal way.
