Agreed!!!

Sometimes is not how many saves you make but WHEN you make them. Luongo made 3 impact saves throughout the series that allowed the Canucks to turn the tide. The first one was in game one when he swiped the puck away at the goal line in OT, the second one was in game 4 when he made the breakaway save on Frolov which prevented the Kings from getting a 2 goal lead. The third one was the outstanding save he made on Smyth tonight.

Daniel finished with 10 points in this series and Henrik with 8.

So much for BJHunter saying that the Sedins suck in the playoffs. lol

I don't know about 'again', but he was good tonight.

The problem was the rest of the team relying on him for most of the game.

Typical bandwagoner cant see the BIG PICTURE. Chernobyl Luongo will crack whether RD 2,3 or if the get lucky the finals. Let alone the rest of the team. They're really good at getting your hopes up. Sad to see it each year over and over and over and over and over again.

This was the one game in the series that Luongo made the difference throughout, because in the first two periods I thought the Canucks played awful, and Luongo made some key saves at the right time to keep them in the game. The Canucks as a team are going to have to play a whole lot better in the next round if they have any hope of making it to round three.

I think Andersons 51 save OT shutout would have to rate up there as the best goaltender performance.
No?

Yes....u r correct
That is how Lou should be playing a majority of the time at his salary, sadly he hasn't been and about time he does.

Yes, Luongo surely rocked the LA Kings during the big game. That save on Ryan Smith was just amazing. Should be in this week's Top 10 Sports Highlights. :)

Gotta agree with you there. Except for one game, Anderson was truly exceptional.
Difference is that the Canucks can still win a game when Loungo is just average. Much different from previous years even when the had the Westcoast Express line. This is something we haven't seen in a long time.

Would say best playoff performance by goaltender so far is Halak from the Habs tonight with 53 saves. He was amazing - completely stole that game and is the reason why Montreal is still in the playoffs.

And that's the reason why our Nucks will lose to the Hawks--no way that Luoie can play as well as Halak. Bobby only plays well if he gets lots of shots or the 'best' player on the team. Luoooie hasn't won a game all by himself but don't let the canuckleheads tell u that :)

Rusty I agree Halak's performance tonight was one of the best golatending efforts I have ever seen in my life.

Luongo had and still has what it takes to win games, however he needed to get into his groove.

BJ where's your rant bro? Hows Thornton?

I wouldn't say Halak completely stole it. Most of Washington's shots came from the outside (ie. Ovechkin down the wing) and were mostly solo efforts, while the Candiens played solid as a team (shot blocking etc).
