PBS is part of a modern conspiracy to cover up the Rockefeller's role in the 1929 stock crash?

110 floors of the twin towers were pre-wired with explosives so that they'd know what floors to detonate depending on where the planes hit?

Have to love it!!!! :D

That statement, let me repeat it: "Name ONE national/global conspiracy that no one ever found out about! You can't can you?"

That statement is so mind-numbingly stupid it's a wonder you can feed yourself--you can can't you? Duh! if no one ever found out about it, you ain't gonna be able to name it are you?
Um...er...don't ya think he was making a joke? one that I found pretty amusing.

I guess that's why they still have laugh tracks on sitcoms. Are smiley faces the equivalent? :)

I could go on all night.
I doubt that. 15 seconds tops I would say. But only with a deaf girl who signs in Cantonese.

I have looked at some of these "proof of conspiracy" sites. Mainly a bunch of bullshit from people with absolutely no qualifications to comment on steel / insulation / building collapse / airplanes diving at over 30 miles per hour / keeping 5,000 people silent about the biggest secret ever.

I could go on all night.

Really a joke? Well ha ha then. No I don't think he was joking.

For those who think there are no conspiracies and secrets can not be kept, mull this one over:

"The committee believes, on the basis of the evidence available to it, that President John F. Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. The committee is unable to identify the other gunman or the extent of the conspiracy."

That was one of the conclusions of the the 1978 House Select Committee on the Assassination of John. F. Kennedy. Yet people still use the Kennedy Assassination as an example that proves conspiracy theories are whack. Here's the link:

http://www.archives.gov/research/jfk/select-committee-report/summary.html

Of course there are conspiracy theories that don't hold up. On the other hand the fact of a conspiracy theory about something suggest some research might uncover something of interest. Analogously to legends sometimes turning out to be historically true in their essence.
I love how there are extremists on both sides. The one thing both sides agree on? This is no laughing matter folks! :p

Man, if I gotta explain the joke, then I guess it just wasn't that funny. The response to perchie in the same post was supposed to be a joke too. Like I was being censored while responding. Threw a couple references to The Illuminati Trilogy in the static. Illuminati Trilogy - Big conspiracy book from 70s. Anyone? Anyone? Okay, too obscure. I'll try harder next time.

Thanks for the laughs Hank! I really just tell the jokes to amuse myself, but it's always good to get a laugh now and then. I get a lot of blank looks in real life. ;)

Why is that I kick myself for wasting my time everytime I bother fact checking anything Silky says...

Silky, it turns out that your claim that Ruport Murdoch owns PBS was also COMPLETELY made up.

Then I checked out the Architects list. Turns out, according the American Institute of Architects, many of the names that were spot checked were NOT actually registered Architects. Apparently the so called "Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth" was forced to clean out many of the names when it was shown that anyone could sign up as "George W. Bush - Architect", etc. So they now at least scan the names and require an email confirmation from you to "verify" that you are who you say you are.

Although they pointed out that even if every single remaining name on the list actually turned out to be a real architect that over 98% of their member architects completely disagree with the 9/11 conspiracy theories.

I also found this great comment on the 9/11 conspiracy theories by Carl Sagan:

Carl Sagan

I’m amazed at how many people give credence to these theories. Everyone’s an engineer. People who never even took one college science course can now hold forth at great length on how the buildings at the World Trade Center could not possibly have collapsed in the way they did and why the Pentagon could not have been struck by that American Airlines jet.

Problem is, some of the best engineers in the country have studied these questions and come up with perfectly logical, scientific explanations for what happened.

The American Society of Civil Engineers and FEMA conducted an in-depth investigation of the World Trade Center. The team members included the director of the Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the senior fire investigator for the National Fire Protection Association, professors of fire safety, and leaders of some of the top building design and engineering firms, including Skidmore Owings & Merrill in Chicago, Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire in Seattle, and Greenhorne & O’Mara in Maryland.

It concluded that massive structural damage caused by the crashing of the aircrafts into the buildings, combined with the subsequent fires, “were sufficient to induce the collapse of both structures.”

The National Institute of Standards and Technology did its own forty-three volume study of the Twin Towers. “Some 200 technical experts . . . reviewed tens of thousands of documents, interviewed more than 1,000 people, reviewed 7,000 segments of video footage and 7,000 photographs, analyzed 236 pieces of steel from the wreckage, [and] performed laboratory tests and sophisticated computer simulations,” the institute says.

It also concluded that a combination of the crash and the subsequent fires brought the towers down: “In each tower, a different combination of impact damage and heat-weakened structural components contributed to the abrupt structural collapse.”

Popular Mechanics, first in its March 2005 cover story and now in its expanded book, Debunking 9/11 Myths, after interviewing scores of other experts in the engineering field, takes apart the most popular contentions of the conspiracists. “In every case we examined, the key claims made by conspiracy theorists turned out to be mistaken, misinterpreted, or deliberately falsified,” the book says.

I made a few calls myself, including to Gene Corley, who conducted the American Society of Civil Engineers/FEMA study, and to Mete Sozen, structural engineering professor at Purdue, who was one of the principal authors of “The Pentagon Building Performance Report” of January 2003, which was done under the auspices of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Structural Engineering Institute. I also contacted engineering professors at MIT and other leading universities in the country, and none of them puts any stock in the 9/11 conspiracy theories. In fact, they view them as a huge waste of time. They are busy trying to figure out how to prevent buildings from falling in the future.

Of course, any conspiracy theorist worth his or her salt will claim that all these people are in on the plot.

And that I am in on it, too.

Get over it.

correction: great article here that on closer inspection only briefly quoted Carl Sagan, but he's is NOT the author

The full article is quite interesting now that I've read it much more closely

BTW Carl Sagan is one of them. Them beeing the bad guys/men behind the curtain/illuminati.
Damn, you've finally got us. Yes Carl is one of us. I know you've been fighting us and have been a real thorn in our side for years. But you've finally won Silky, your work here is done.

Yes we were responsible. But, in our defence, I would like to point out that we've always had civilizations best interests at heart. Please consider that before condemning us too harshly.

I'd like to point out that the above post was made in jest (for those with no sense of humour).

And I know, because I really am one of them...and Silky is still on our list. He should watch out for careening seemingly-out-of-control cars.

You are a sheep! He was not joking! The Royal Order of the Water Buffalo has been around longer than the Illuminati, Free Masons and the Shriners! I saw them on TV (Can't remember the show) and they are some scary mother fuckers! Screw with the Grand Pubah and disappear under a rock quarry! Scary shit!

"I died in 1996" - Carl Sagan
I was just speaking with him and he wanted to set the record straight.
OOPS! I just checked the link where I got that great Carl Sagan quote:

http://www.progressive.org/mag_wx091106

And when I look closer it looks like Carl Sagan is being attributed to the section above his name and not below it...

But I really am the Grand Poobah behind everything! Really! Yabadabadoo!

So did u figure out what caused the tremors at the WTC yet? Remeber it was at the sart of collapse. Do you really thing large pieces of a building falling can cause a 2.1 and a 2.3 tremor? Hello reality?

So, did u figure out what caused the tremors at the WTC yet? Remember, it was at the start of thecollapse. Do you really think large pieces of a building falling can cause a 2.1 and a 2.3 tremor? Hello, reality?

New therory !

I know i can't spell so that kind of puts me in the no brains category.. But I use spell check to the best of my ability.
But here are My thoughts on the the finances crises and bail out ..
Of course the bale out will cost more then $700 billion.. They have already given over $400 billion so that makes it $ 1.1 trillion.. But I predict that the share from this government bill will be $ 2 . trillion that they revel .. and maybe true cost is closer to $3.0 trillion..
Now her is the conspiracy.. this was all set up to divert money to some secret government project . What it could be i Could let my imagination run wild.. It could be any number of fantastic ideas .. From a secret space program to colonizing mars when earth is hit by an asteroid.. to funding secret armies and hitec weapons , or maybe just pay off all those involved in the 911 deal.. But we all know that a lot of this money will be going some whee else.. I think past history proves that.

Oh and who ever quoted Carl s Sagan on the WTT collapse.. yes he did die in 1996.. so you kind of helped the conspiracy guys with that one..
