I guess rough sex is OK as long as enjoyed by both, but choking is only one step from becoming a lust murderer.

Actually...I was referring to my personal life...not the job...lol. I would like to believe that clients are too concerned with our comfort that they would never initiate such activities unless...the Sp was the one to.
I think you would have to really know your partner and have discussed what is alright and what is not. As for choking, that can be a dangerous and fatal practice.
