Who else thinks it's a load of BS that Luongo didn't win a single NHL award? This guy is alot more valuable to the Canucks then Crosby is to the Pens and that's for sure. Crosby is surrounded by many good players and didn't deserve it.
Luongo put the Canucks on his back and led us to the secound round. The Eastern Voters are biased I guess since they don't see many Canucks games.

On another note Congratz to Canucks Head Coach Alain Vigneault on winning the Coach of the year award

Yes Indeed!

I was disappointed that Louie did`nt win a single award. Not surprised though, these things are usually political. As far as the Vezina trophy goes for best goalie, if you are a NHL GM and need a goalie, do you trade for Luongo or Brodeur? I would say most GMs would trade for Louie.....I rest my case

It just goes to show you that the EAST coast rules !!!

It's too bad that they don't pay any attention to the WEST...

cause there's some GREAT hockey going on out here !!!

Crosby not only helped the Pens on the ice but helped them stay on the ice in Pittsburg. Without him to showcase the team I'm sure the team would have moved.

fucking booby prizes ... only one 'award' matters and you have
to go out and fight for it ...

if there weren't consolation prizes those losers in the East
wouldn't win anything except 'fixed' lottery wins.

buncha whiner cocksuckers out there ... more money than
brains (see the latest toronto contract for their captain meatball?!?!)

the Eastern teams have easy, stay at home, no travel,
schedules against some of the weakest teams in the league,
and they STILL can't win.

Hate the Ducks, but good on em for bitch slapping those whiner
Sens back into obscurity!

I wouldnt agree with Luguono being screwed over. Martin Brodeurs numbers are tiny bit better than luongo. I would have picked Crosby over Luongo for the mvp also. Only trophy i wished we won was the stanley cup ....could care less about these other ones

1 MARTIN BRODEUR NJD 48 wins 2.18 2011 .922
2 ROBERTO LUONGO VAN 47 wins 2.29 1998 .921

I agree with Luongo being more Valuable to his team than Brodeur is to his. But Brodeur broke the single season wins record and they had no choice but give the Vezina to him

In the points for the Hart Crosby was first with Luongo next and Brodeur third.

This tells me Luongo should have won the Vezina. Brodeur's numbers were a bit better but look at the team he has around him. Luongo should have made the Vezina and he was picked far closer to Crosby for the Hart than Brodeur.

I think Luongo is more valuable to the team than Brodeur, but that trophy is for goaltenters specifically and Brodeur did have the better year (marginally I will grant you), however, even tho I am not a canuck fan, Luongo did deserved the Hart imho over crosby, Christ look what he had to work with.

I'm not sure what the "hockey writers" were thinking tho in awarding the coach of the year, cmon Crawford was way better for Vancouver and Vigneault's winning of coach of the year is a JOKE.

Maybe Vancouver could use "Iron Mike" and light a fire under Naslund's ass...

Luongo didn't deserve to win!

Ya Luongo had a great season. But, Brodeur had better stats and Crosby is the most talented player. Building a franchise around a fast great player like Crosby is exciting. Building a franchise around a goalie with oversized pads is boring...
