Tour this world most expensive yacht own by Russian billionaire

This 394-foot (120 meter) yacht has never before been viewed by the public — until now. The Wall Street Journal gained unprecedented access to tour the ship, called the ‘A,’ which reportedly costs more than $300 million.


It was designed by the legendary French designer, Phillipe Starck, the “A” features luxuries most of us can hardly dream up, like a glass-bottomed pool built atop a disco or a plush room with walls covered in stingray hides.

Among other absurdities, the ship has a $60,000 bannister, a master bedroom that opens only to a fingerprint and a secret room designated specifically for “nookie,” which any owner of a ship like this surely has no shortage of.

Just a few more months of bragging rights for the Russian tycoon as Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal unveils his new $ 500M trophy yacht named New Kingdom 5KR by November 2010. The Saudi Prince whose company Kingdom Capital owns the Four Seasons, Fairmont Hotels, and Savoy London Hotel to name a few, will also have his own private Airbus A380 delivered in a couple of years.

Personally, I believed the reason Citibank was saved years back was because of the Prince. If not Citibank, would have ended up like Bear Stearns.

what about that ship the saudi guy had taken over from the brunei prince? i read it was about 550 - 560 feet long and cost roughly 600million? last i read it was the biggest and most expensive. i wish i knew how to attach images or links, then i could show what im taking about, but holy hell is it big.

The said yacht formerly owned by the Sultan of Brunei you were referring to, is actually the Kingdom 5KR Prince Alwaleed is presently using. Originally built for former Saudi Billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, possession changed from the Sultan of Brunei to Donald Trump till it ended up with Prince Alwaleed. However, this yacht which was the biggest for decades was about 280 foot long. The New Kingdom 5KR which gets delivered in November is the one that's about 550 foot long.


Well, not only individuals compete for bragging rights on what is the biggest, tallest, etc. Or who owns the best soccer teams money can buy. Even cities and other rich countries do. Shanghai and Dubai for a moment wanted to have the world's tallest buildings or biggest malls. Then Jeddah is coming to the picture. Before Bahrain was the only one with F1 Racing in that region so rich Abu Dhabi decides to have one as well with a Ferrari theme park to go with it.
