Again, perhaps it is simply you who is finding the 'male control' tone in the comments ... funny how the arguments of the pro-shaved side are pretty simple and easy to back up - i.e. we like it, we prefer it, it seems to be cleaner, smell better, etc. The arguments of the pro-bush side generally seem to be speculation foisted upon the other side i.e. "you must want women to look like kids" or "there seems to be an element of male control". How would you have any way to know or even speculate on this? It is all fine and good to have a discussion but lets stick to the realm of what can be debated; baseless accusations that are meant to inflame or demonize the other side do not add anything constructive to the conversation.

And I think that is why I was so surprised that guys said - and have said here that they find it such a turn off that they'd rather not. The other thing missing from the pro bare side is that taking every hair off a body except for eyebrows and head is very extreme.

First of all, my thanks for acknowledging some of the points I made. I don't mind having this debate so long as both sides can avoid demonizing and arguing past each other. To your point above re: the heat of the language, I have a hard time taking some of those comments terribly seriously given that this is an online forum and anonymity tends to cause people to be more hyperbolic than they really intend (or it may be that this thread simply attracts a vocal minority that feel so strongly). My guess is that most men that dislike female pubic hair do so more as a matter of preference, much in the same way they prefer their women to not have copious amounts of armpit hair, monobrow, or nipple hair. Fact is there is a broader culture of 'baldness' for women that has been around long before the proliferation of shaved-pube porn in the last 15-20 years. TBH, my preference has everything to do with the fact that actually seeing and feeling the skin in and around a woman's vagina is much, much more tactile and enticing than a big mouthful of her muff hair. A very good point Veronica makes too, if you look back on pictures of post pubescent men before the 1920s they generally have beards. That was 'standard'.

I have been trimming and shaving the pubic area for a few years... not at first for sexual reasons but for comfort ... a heavy machinery operator by trade I would after a few hours become sweaty and the pulling of hair was quite painful at times I started by trimming very short then all out shaving to remedy the problem it felt great... since that time I always keep it trimmed or shaved and have had ladies comment that they appreciated the clean trimmed and shaved style almost unanimously so I will keep it up.. i prefer the female shaved style as well....

Do we really have to take to either the extreme of completely bald or bushy? Every person has their own personal preference. Some guys like full bush, some like a little landing strip, others like trimmed, some like bare.
