In the sweaty world of sex, this problem could spread easily. Asian travellers that hop from airport to airport, and street vendor to restaurants in Asia, it's not hard to imagine the H5N1 strain boarding any number of flights originating out of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam or Indonesia.

White surgical masks may soon become "de rigueur", a vital fashion accessory.

I hope everybody reads this thread and Dr. Hifi's erudite wisdom. It always amazes me how often I see people showing up at parties and at work that are sick and who refuse to quarantine themselves. I believe in many parts of SE Asia, people wear the white masks when they are feeling ill themselves, so they do not transmit their virus. People in North America are ego driven and accordingly, they are a little more unsure of themselves, believing that what looks good, must be ... and so they try and hide the fact that they are sick. Look at all the products out there that are designed to hide the symptoms of a cold and flu.

For pooners and for SP's, keep in mind that sustaining is absolutely necessary when you are feeling ill. I have seen several women in the past who only revealed just how sick they really were half way through the session ... at a time when it was way too late for me to use my better judgement. Personally, I feel this kind of withholding of truth, is akin to assaulting someone. Afterall, someone who is feeling sick is fully aware of their predicament and therefore, they have chosen to ignor the health and safety of their sexual partners in return for some personal gain (SP's) or satisfaction (pooners). Those particular actions are ignorant and offensive.

It all started with doctors prescribing anti biotics for everything.. people dont finish their medications, and the virus develop immunity or at the very least gets stronger. thats the case with TB drugs nowdays... TB may actually make a comeback ... and with a revenge.

Washing one hands is the healthy thing to do. But taking over measurements justs helps the damn little bastards get stronger over time. SuperBugs could be the next big thing.

I can see from a research point of view, but a desease that killed 50 million people back in 1918 when world transportation was not something many could do... imagine now? if such outbreak occurs? the casuality would be in astronomical. Nowdays, with the so called terror threat.. etc.. are they taking the right measure to safeguard such powerful virus?

Fact. The US is already trying to pass a bill that would allow the military to quarantine us citizens in case an epidemic like the bird flue strikes! that should tell you something.. something is brewing, and is coming.

Couple other points:

1. if you wash your hands with soap and water (or a sanitizer) recite the alphabet ... that's the MINIMUM length of time you should be washing.

2. use paper towels to dry rather than a cloth towel ... studies found that the germs off your hands love to live in a damp towel!

3. keep your hands in your pants ... when in public, never touch yourself above the neck ... your mouth, nose, eyes and ears and all pathways for germs (virus or bacteria or worse!).

and if you have to touch those areas, wash your hands first and dry with paper towels!!!

that includes adjusting glasses, your headphones or using a phone or cell ...

4. stay away from KIDS!!! one study found that when an adult sneezes or coughs, they shed about 50 - 100,000 germs ... when a kid does the same it is over 1 million germs!!! They also love to stick their hands in their mouth and then in your nose, mouth or eyes ... total germ warfare!

5. stay away from TEENS ... they are really susceptible to Straph, Mono, and Meningitis ...

6. if you have to go to the doctor, go first thing in the morning before 1000 sick people cough, sneeze and shit on the furniture, plants and magazines.

7. remind your fav SP that blowjobs are safe, DFK is not!

Putting a different spin on this, one could attribute the Avian flu as Nature exacting revenge on mankind for all the grief it has brought to birds in general. Bah, maybe I'm connecting the dots too loosely here. Aren't birds direct descendents from dinosaurs? Now there's another dot...

I see H5N1 is now looming over Europe.

Man, if this thing ever starts rolling, we could be in for a nasty on old blue...

Your best defense is to keep immune system healthy ie. lots of sleep, stress shuts down immune response ,try and relax and laugh it helps,don't get run down... The new cancer treatments boost ur own immune system. Chill, eat fish at least once a week.

LOL Funny, but to a certain extent, true.

The way I see it, we are panicking about a dozen sick people in a country of 30 million (no deaths and no hospitalizations).

Even in Mexico, there have been about 600 cases out of a population of almost 110 million.

That's not really a whole lot in the grand scheme of things.
