Hello everyone, Happy New Year. I had a question for the board:
I like to visit BC every year or so and I'm planning a trip back and was wondering if the ST is still in business? .
Some of you sound very bitter. I really don't get the bitter sniping. .
No it's not bitter sniping.Nah. It's bitter sniping.
Another comparable example is buying wine in a restaurant. Let's say you spend $45 on a bottle of Ravenswood Zinfandel. Does the job, not a bad wine, goes OK with food. Next time you spend $80 on a bottle of Frescobaldi and Mondavi Lucente. Even better and a great experience. Then next time you spend $240 on a bottle of Sassicaia. A bit better but not much better that $160 will warrant it. And then you decide you'll go all the way, pull out the Visa Platinum and order a bottle of Chateau Haut Brion 1er Cru 1995 for $1500...a stunning wine but for $1420 more than a wine I was already pleased by? I call that a waste of money. But I think some people fool themselves into perceiving that a wine that expensive tastes better in order to justify how much they are paying for it, else they wouldn't feel good about it.Say you go out with 50 bucks and score a street girl, then you go to Tom's and spend $150 on one of his good ones. Will you get three times the pleasure, certainly a possibility. Then you spend $300 on an indy. Will you double your pleasure? Probably not, maybe a 10%-15% increase and so on. Spend $2000 on a girl and maybe get a 1% increase over spending $1500. So then is there an optimum price? I'd say $140 to $250 in this market is the optimum.
I'm talking about the sexual experience, for $300 or more you should expect classy digs.
I disagree. Deany Allen and inthebum's posts are a perfect example of "bitter sniping"
As I just got through saying "value for money" is a very relative concept. It depends on how much each dollar is worth to you, which in turn depends on things like how much money you make, the exchange rate, your standards etc.
When the dollar was strong ST was a downright bargain to me. Now the value for money isn't as good. But it's still very good for me.
You're joking right? I can't tell, but in case you aren't: I visit Vancouver ONCE a year. I'm not even Canadian, have the mod look up my IP.Orph, since you are the owner Swedish Touch and your affliation with the Angels is apparent, your comments don't really count from a customer perspective!![]()
