i don't know how many NFL fans we have, but here goes:

i think you take the 2 best defences in the league and you throw in a little luck and it should be a close enough game. i have to cheer for the underdogs here, mostly because Jake Delhomme was a backup in the World league and i saw an interview he did where he said his dad kept phoning him while in Europe telling him to maybe give up his dream because Delhomme was the backup to a World League team making $25,000.00 US.

the punch line is Delhomme kept telling his dad that the starter was "really good" and Jake just needed a lucky break to get in a game. well, if you do not know World Football league trivia, the starter that year was Kurt Warner and he got his Superbowl dream the very next year, so i am kind of cheering for the underdogs, the team of nobodies and a team of no one wanted us, the Panthers.

they are deservedly a 7 point dog, but i think they need and will get a few turnovers and i will go with my heart and say Carolina wins it 20-17.

there ya have it, America's team of destiny, the lowly Carolina Panthers.

anybody ordering the pay per view Lingerie bowl at halftime? it is also too bad we get the Canadian Tire commercials at halftime instead of the $2,500,000.00 per 30 second commercials that are specifically created for those slots. i saw a clip of the Reebok one and it was pretty cool.

Up until a couple of years ago, I would only watch the Super Bowl for the ads and the movie trailers. But now I don't really care anymore.

BTW, we Canuckleheads can still get the direct American feed via satellite or at one of the finer sports bars in our vicinity so that we can get the American ads.

Thats how dead it's been lately. :(

I've never watched the Super Bowl in my life, and don't plan on it. I hate sports on TV. Well Maybe a little Nascar and F1. Any "ball" sports can su*k on my left ball. (I reserve the right one for everything else I hate) :) IMHO of coarse.

I enjoy football when it is played by decent teams. This year’s Super Bowl will probably just put me to sleep so I am not even going to bother.

The same has to be said for last years Stanley Cup game it was very pathetic.

It seems as though there is a trend in some sports for the most boring teams to make it to the finals. Offence is a thing of the past.
