Cam Neely shouldn't have made it... all he did was get garbage goals when he wasn't out hurt...

the thing is that Neeley wasn't really performing well in Van ... he suddenly came alive in Boston ...

Naslund wasn't doing shit where he was and while it took him a while to get going, he also came alive after his trade.

some players just do better on other teams ...

and the Hall of Fame? kind of like getting accepted to Clown School ...

I was never a Bruins fan but I have always had respect for #8 with his work ethics and his skills. Well deserved H of F addition!

You forgot the 2 first round picks they also gave Boston
Actually it was 1 first rounder and that turned out to be Glen Wesley. Neely was a 20 yr old kid with a lot of raw talent. Under perform? So did Guy Lafleur his first few years. How about Stevie Y? I remember early in his career there were talks of trading him here for Gradin. Sometimes you gamble and lose, which the 'Nucks did and you can place 99% of the blame on that asshat Tom Watt.

You don't become the second fastest 50 goal scorer in NHL history, tied with Mario Lemieux and second only to Wayne Gretzky by just getting only garbage goals. Nor do you get the 11th best regular season goals per game average in the history of the league or the 4th best playoff goals per game average, unless you're an extremely talented player. If it weren't for that scum-bag Ulf Samuelsson Neely's career stats could have matched that of pretty much anyone else in the hall of fame, with a few exceptions.

Remains to be seen if Naslund is a HHOF candidate.

But don't feel too bad, other teams are also guilty of giving away players before their prime:
- Montreal and John LeClair
- Calgary and Brett Hull
- Dallas and Jerome Iginla
