Yes I should be working but it's such a fine snowy day to goof off. It's a two week wait for snow tires. The plows and salt trucks are just getting started. It's dang pretty outside where there are no roads or cars to dirty it up. I have a hot cup of coffee with a shot of Drambuie and whipped cream to sooth my arthritic knees (yeah I know that only makes it worse but I like it) and I get to read all your posts and feel like I'm still part of the community here. All things considered not bad.

What's everyone else doing???????

Taking a snow day off, can't really do any work today, so watching tv, playing video games and eating pasta with sundried tomatoes and parmasean cheese.

Happily Ever After!
Marinating my salmon in a honey-mustard-soy glaze for a salad later

I Love the snow! I am waxing my skiis, adjusting my bindings, cleaning all my ski gear and getting ready to hit the slopes! I still can't believe I can be on a mountain and skiing in a half hour! Love vancouver

You realize the Calgarians reading this forum are howling with laughter right?
Vancouver and you guys are snowed in?? How much have you had so far???
In Winnipeg-the last 24 hours we have 40 cm and counting. We are not snowed in here BTW LOL

I have driven in the snow on the prairies many times. I assure you the wet soggy shit we get out here is not easy to navigate on hilly streets.

Laugh all you like, driving in Calgary or Winterpeg is nothing like snow in Vancouver, I assure you. (I lived in Calgary for four years ie life sentences :D)

Deal:

You will go live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for 2 years during winter in which you will tell me how much "easier" life is than living in that Vancouver snowfall LOL. How's your block heater anyway?
I go to Edmonton too and usually have no probs driving there.

BTW I do have a block heater for my trips to Vernon in the winter time. ;) Can't golf at Predator Ridge in the winter but you can skate and X country ski :D

WAIT...this is a perfect headline for the media in Edmonton and Winterpeg

Guy in Vancouver did not claim winter (and driving) is worse in Vancouver than in Edmonton or Winnipeg
Fixed. DON'T read too much between the lines.

I told you I have lived in Calgary and driven in every prairie town in snow conditions. White outs between Edmonton and Calgary were white knucklers. Never said ours was worse, just 'difficult' with the wet snow and the many hills here.

Happily Ever After!
I had to make sure I was in the right province yesterday! It was Calgary outside here in Vancouver! Except a little bit worse because it kept raining, then freezing and snowing, then raining and freezing and snowing and it was ICY. Fun, fun watching all the neophytes navigate it.

pfffft its still spring time here in BC LOL I'm used to skiing and running in minus 20 lol
