Play Boy 1973 offical binder

A friend of mine showed me an offical binder hard copy of Play Boy 1973 edition. Inside the binder it consists of 12 issues from January 73 to December 73. Does anyone have any clue how much does it worth? It is definitely a collector item. In addition it is in a very good condition after 35 years!

12 issues are selling on Ebay for $150. No mention of binder.

The reason why I asked was it comes with a hard binder with the Play Boy logo which is quite rare. Otherwise as you said only worth $150

I was just looking at a resent copy .. $7.99 on the news stands.. $46.98 if you subscribe.. What is that . $109. an year of the stand or $53.00 up front..
I think 73 was a good year .. I actually like the old mags better then to days ..
but i am not paying $150 for some thing used .. and i don't know whee it has been. when i can get new mags with new girls that still look that way.. Do you realize how old the girls from 1973 are.
We are talking fossil here.. I can say that because I have called my self a fossil at 50. When you are talking to 14 year old that is what i am.

I think if you hunt around and figure where to look you will find it all on line. Some smart guy has probably digitised them all.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Only one of two ways to figure out it's worth; Put it up for auction, or have ut appraised (Which really only detemines the "Worth", for insurance purposes).

The binder itself is probably worth money. It's pretty scarce (as far as I know) and definitely collectible.

Playboy's circulation in the 70's and 80's was in the MILLIONS. Regular issues of that vintage are extremely common, so much so that most Used book places won't even take them any more.


I've done quite a bit of buy and sell of paper collections over the years and Playboys never sold worth a damn. Simply not worth my effort.

Paper porn is pretty much obsolete with the rise of the net.
