AMEN to that. Crawford the only coach who out of the blue throws his 3rd stringer in for the most important game of the season. Makes no sense whatsoever.
BTW, Auld was totally out of position for those two goals. Not that he didn't play well.. It's just.. what if.. what if it was hedberg in net..
If Hedberg had been in goal it could have been 4-1. Don't forgot Auld stopped a Calgary breakaway. Even with Cloutier, goaltending has been a inor problem with the Canucks. The biggest problem they face is they can't score against the hottest goaltender in the playoffs.
I think you'll find it to be as Crawford says...the team plays better in front of Auld, period. It's not about Hedberg being bad, it's about shaking up the team to be smarter. PS they have to score more than 1 goal for either goalie :-(
