A parent of my daughters friend just asked my daughter to ask me for a loan.

Are you and this man/woman friends? If so, you should choose your friends better. He/she is a shameless douche.

It's funny this thread has popped up in the last few days... A parent of my daughters friend just asked my daughter to ask me for a loan. Very small amount, but I still felt uncomfortable with it... Like if I say yes this time, it opens that door to being asked again... I'm not a personal bank account! Errrgh.

What kind of person asks a kid to ask their parents for a loan???

Does your daughter still hang out with this friend or does the situation became uncomfortable?

If my daughter needed help, I would definitely help her... It can take some time to figure out the budgeting aspect... But not going to be momma bank machine for any long term solutions lol!

Update with the friend who asked me for a loan. He wanted me to meet him at this bar yesterday. Where he had 3 beers for 40.00 but the scenary was awesome. I didnt order a thing cause i told him i dont like overpaying for anything. He likes to be living downtown eat at the most expensive places like gotham or mortons,buy expensive drinks, but cant even seem to pay off his credit card.

thanks hunkahunka! We went to some lame bar near the new convention centre. Funny watching him order his 10.00 beers ..plus tax and tip which is 40.00 lol.

I rarely lend money and am very very choosy abput who gets it.

As far as paying me back goes... I'd rather get $5 at a time sooner than wait forever to get it all at once.
