Off Topic or No Right Top: Female Condoms Good or Bad?

A curious topic came up in a conversation today between a 'friend' and I, female condoms. Do they afford more sensation to the man or is there really little difference sensation wise between a male and female condom? Protection wise, what is the skinny on them?

I tried them when they first came out years ago so they may be better now but if not, I give them a big thumbs down!

They are a bit difficult to insert and consist of a ring on the outside to keep it from being sucked in. Well, the problem was, one side of the ring does get tilted/sucked in so that the skin is exposed as the cock is sliding in. I didn't like that as it isn't safe from things like herpes or genital warts.

Also if the guy was thrusting in and not looking, there is a chance the cock could have slipped between the already tilted rim/ring of the "condom" and the vaginal wall, thereby being in, unprotected. As I am more concerned about getting knocked up I found it totally untrustworthy unless you are very vigilant and watching every second.

They are an interesting concept and may be ok with improvement, like some duct tape to hold it in place, but I insert enough things in there and feel that men deserve some punishment for not bleeding 5 days a month. So I think the onus should be on them to wear a much simpler normal everyday condom. Before the men get upset I will add that the sensation is no better with a female condom. Instead of being covered and fucking a warm pussy, they are uncovered and fucking a plastic bag. (They are much thicker than regular condoms.)

However I only tried them once, has anyone else got an experience to share?

I've tried them a few times, and haven't been overly impressed. I thought they would be useful for men who were more well-endowed, as they don't "strangle" the penis like traditional condoms. I thought they might also be useful for someone having difficulty maintaining an erection long enough to put on a condom, or just for increasing spontaneity (I could put it in before we start, thereby eliminating the need to take a break to put the condom on). There is also a small amount of external coverage, which helps to decrease the risk of contracting certain STDs (i.e. genital herpes).

First of all, they cost about $5 apiece. Pretty steep, in my opinion. Second, they feel really weird and unnatural inside, not unlike a glad sandwich bag. The feeling was a real turn-off for me, and I believe it was for the unlucky gentlemen as well. If you don't put enough lube in them, they have a tendency to ride the penis and come out any time the man pulls out. Overall, a waste of $15/3, as I had a 0% success rate with them.

I have tried them once as a male, and I can say I prefer the male kind. The reason for this has already been discussed by Paige, Jodie, Sexygirl, massagegirl et al.. Good old male condom is still the best.

So in other words some women that does not like sex invented these femal condome ..to turn every one off of sex ..sounds like a comunist plot.

but they are a good idea for some of those before mentioned reasons ..just have to put a little more thought into them ....to make them satticfying to all

I couldn't imagine them being better, I had seen them some years back. They seemed thicker and I could not imagine myself how they would not go in (fall) or stay seated well enough not to create a gap or leave room for the potential of the penis going in on the wrong side of them.

Bought two boxes a few months ago. They are about $12 for a box of four. Tried them out, didn't do it for me. Still have an unopened box some where.

But if your curious, you should at least try them once to see if they work for you.
