My new driving rule, starts today!

On the way into the office today, I had to let some traffic merge. I chose NOT to allow the POS 1980 something sedan in, but allowed the LEXUS to go in front of me....and I figured, from now on.....

I'm only yielding to nicer vehicles than mine.....

Who's with me?

I may apply this to 4-way stops too. If 2 vehicles arrive at the same time, the nicer one should go first...i think it's only fair, but i'm still debating this one...

Interesting idea 50 but, if you let the nice car in front of you, then the POS car is behind you, and if the owner of the POS didn't care about the POS car, then the car could be driven without care and could result in a rear-ender. Just presenting a possible scenario. :D

well, if their vehicles are nicer than yours. By nicer, it probably meant more powerful and faster than your car.....what can you do beside yielding ??

I saw a Carrera GT on marine drive the other day, I was on a left lane and he is on the right. He made a left turn signal wanting to switch lane. Since its such a cool car that you dont see everyday, I press on my break and try to let him thru. However; he stepped on the gas pedal and I heard a LOUD engine sound.....his tail light disappeared in the distant in a matter of couple seconds....he was sending a clear message, I can cut you off whether you want to yeild or not....

On a second thought, if its in the middle of traffic then its probably a different case....

road rage

I dare ya to try that... sounds like a good way to fire up a good case of road rage...

but who knows maybe if a few of the people who drive like A-holes get beaten, shot or run off the road maybe people will start being more courteous out there

It’s funny you bring this up. There was a driving study done on drivers' reactions to nice cars on the road. It showed people are more likely to allow a new/expensive cars to merge, turn, etc. ect. than POS cars.

Now with that said the way I look at it is; if you can afford a 50k+ car than you can afford to have you ass wait for an opening because I'm sure as hell not letting your pompous ass in, and yes, I am quite aware it's a sweeping generalization. I very much enjoy the look on the face of a driver of an expensive car when I allow a POS in but pull up and block their rich asses.

Fuck you Mr. Howell you're just going to have to wait for some other peasant to let you in ;)

How gay is that? I let the rich guy wait and allow the poor, struggling POS drivier in first. It's Karma, Randy.

When I drove my rusty blue and primer gray Buick leSabre, I never had a problem merging. I would just dare some fawker in a shiny bimmer to close the gap on me.
